hey if you turn the box around and pull the seats down and put the box right up against the opening where it seals off the trunk you may hear a good difference. but it depends on a lot of other factors too
Move that beast back, your losing like 5000db from having it right up to the trunk. But seriously, your losing a great amount of sound by having it that close.
and also burke if u like to play ur system more the 10-15 mins at a time i would go monoblock, they have better cooling systems and last a hell of a lot longer, i had the old mtx 1500.1s and had them for over 4 yrs no problem. Avg. 2 channel might have lasted me about 1-1 1/2 yrs before problems.alpine has and diamond has ur best cooling systems in them and i gave my cousin an old setup of mine. 2 inf. ref 12's and a 600 diamond and it outhits most 1000-1200 watt systems around.
@cyrusford or he could run a better 1000 watt like an fosgate, diamond or alpine. Hifonics just don't put out no power anymore, u would need the 2000 watt in order to have about a 1000 watts. i know from exp. i had 2 comp vr 12's on the brutus 1200d, sold it and got 2 infinity ref. 12's on a diamond 600.1 and the infinity's were way louder.watch my vid, volume turned up almost 3/4 volume and amp gain less then 1/2 cause of cd skip, don't have it now more though, building a 4 15 setup in suv.
bridgeable amps are a little cleaner, but u run into heat issues, ur 2 channel amps bridged does not last near as long as ur mono blocks.I've owned several 2 channel amps and there is not that much difference in amps, only run a 2 channel amp for sound quality setups. if u want massive bass go w/ a mono block amp.I have been dealing w/ car audio and have experimented w/ different amps and subs. the 3 top amps i have dealed w/ thats not overpriced is fosgate, alpine and diamond audio.
@Burke708 Nah, for subs go ahead and buy mono Class D amps. Unless your uber into SQ, the minor difference (in most cases) of sound quality between a Class A/B and a Class D wont bother you. I have a Class B/D and it sounds amazing.
