This video cracked me up. It brought back memories of my high school years in Ohio in the 60,s where alot of my buds were farmers sons. We all learned how to drive with the old junk they used. If it had a function on the farm no matter what shape it was in, as long as it would start and run it survived. The best driver training ever!
i have 3 c-60 and 1 c70 dumps, throw that quidrajet in the trash and put you a holley 600 on the truck with a inline gas filter and see the difference.
We have a '64 Ford F-700 dump truck at our ranch. It has I think a 391 in it with a four-speed shifter,a nd a two-speed rear end.
It's a real bear to start cold, but once it gets running it does just fine. Very powerful, lots of torque, and those hydro-assisted brakes. If you left it alone, you could run it all day, making runs to the river and not have a problem.
I'll post a vid when I get a chance (I don't have my camera cable around right now.)
i know of a couple 366 motors and i lean more towards liking them guys. ive got my 366 powered gmc 6000 and i theres a c60 with a roofing body on it up the road. all that there is for trouble is carb fires, they like to burp a little
I dunno wayne; sounds to me like it might be worth fixing the carb. on that piece of shit 69 dumper so u can actually like use it without it being a serious POS!!!....just a thought there is all...that way once u have the the other "new" truck ready to go; u will have 2 trucks in case u ever need a second....
I could do that... but I guess Im not exactly sure what it is you dont understand about how ranches make money... let me know and Id be happy to give you a good explanation
Get a Ford!!!!! 1969 F700 FTW!!!

All my life I thought PTO meant Parent Teacher Organization, haha! Cool that a dump truck would have a lever baring those initials!

nice... Ill be watching for that video
wagner59270 2 years ago
you probably should've put another 366 in. 350s get abused in those kind of trucks. 366s are weak but can take the abuse. 370 fords are the same way.
gajda1984 2 years ago
366 = ickky Ive had some bad experiences and Ill take the 350 in the shape its in now over another 366
