  • @NWBHLVideo The stats actually show that before the 70s, fighting wasn't really as prevalent. There's probably just as much today as back then, when they played 70 games yet no one really reached 200 PIM. Enforcers didn't exist, other than ones who could really play like John Ferguson. It wasn't until expansion that fighting became an integral part of every team. Still, those original six teams had some real meanness and character too.
