Video games are video games and a student's work in cinematography (such as this one) are two completely different things. The student made this video in order to show his teacher (or school) what he could do with the knowledge that he gained while learning at that school.

Making a great 3D animation has nothing to do with how powerful your graphic card is. I mean, it's not just as easy as slapping a better graphics card on a computer to make everything look better. It's how well you conceive the shapes of the 3D objects that will make it look better.

I happen to know a lot abot graphics textures and lighting/shadow effects, i know that games like GTA IV use 3 graphic engines in 1 single game, Euphoria, Rahe and Havoc for superior effects, light the rain or the sensation of realism on the game.
Future computer games or console games, like Crysis(look for the videos of this game if you want) will use an Engine calles the "CryEngine 3", simulating reality.
Dude... Why the hell are you saying so much shit? Why don't you just shut the hell up and make an better animation then this, then I'll congratulate you and everybody will be happy!

Imagine you train sports for a couple months 15 h per week too hard and too often. That's how it feels. The same feeling comes also from sleep deprivation, but sleeping nor eating won't help overtraining

No I was in the sound dept. I studied sound design and music production and engineering. Although I did sound for some shorts...I should really post those. You've inspired me.

xsi softimage is the software used. VFS 3d animation & visual affects is program discipline studied at VFS. More info at vfs(dot)com if you want to check out VFS.

next lesson. knowing that real humans are impatient when moving about. even well mannered are not that slow poke when moving. why people can tell which is real and which is animated.

Imagine you train sports for a couple months 15 h per week too hard and too often. That's how it feels. The same feeling comes also from sleep deprivation, but sleeping nor eating won't help overtraining
