@morradiermann90 When I did the video I hadn't seen either of the movies in question and I just didn't know - I mean the Tarantino film had hardly premiered in the cinemas at this point. Furthermore I am a fan of Tarantino and I'll be documenting the Tarantino section in my DVD-room fairly soon.
I'm a DVD/BD collector from Brazil. This box is fantastic. Do you know where can I get one of that? I searched on ebay and found nothing. Thanks in advance.
the thing you couldn't name on the knife is probably for opening milk cans, you just pop a hole in it and you can pour the liquid out...i'm not a 100% sure, though!
Yeah! Its great and whats even weirder is I enjoy watching it. Thank you so much for such detailed reviews and keep up the good work. Have to say my favourite has to be your Fargo snow globe great film and extra feature.
Really honest review... It is very refreshing to see a review that shows all the warts and all as we say in the UK.. The danger of ordering something and wanting it to be good, is that you beleive it is good when it arrives.. Really enjoyed the "as it happened" reaction... Great review... Knife looked good though..
Great review of this product, it seems like everything is a remake these days. The pocket knife seems to be the best part of the box set :p. Definitely does seem pricey though.
Yes, to my knowledge this is only available in Sweden. I'm pretty sure it's not a box set that's out in the other scandinavian countries... but I could be wrong.
Yeah that's true. I forgot to mention this fact in the video even though I had heard about it. However, I must say I just assumed it to be a logo from the original film and not the other way around. A very evil marketing trick when you realise it. Still, a lovely logo and very fitting for this type of box.
I havn't actually seen either of the two (planning to see the Tarantino film really soon) so I just assumed it to be a remake. But as you say, its mainly just the title that was duplicated. The first film also follows a group of Americans fighting against the nazis but the overall story is very different. I hadn't even noticed the purposely miss spelled title on the Tarantino film though. Makes it feel even weirder that they ripped of the logo for this re-release.
Come to think of it it's pretty ironic. Tarantino takes the title of an old film and makes it his own. Then the old film gets re-released and copy Tarantinos title logo :D

Is the 3-Disc set also released without the Limited wooden box?
LiveFastDiarrhea 2 years ago
No, it appears to be exclusive to this set. There's a single disc release available on it's own but nothing else I think.

I still might get it due to it's limitation, let's see how impressed I'll get when I see it IRL (probably won't). Great review as always

Its crap how they stole the logos and art style from taratino's version, its like they are trying to trick people

I've learned something, I had know idea that Tarantino's was a re-make!
The knife save the day then, still it's a nice addition anyway and very rare...only 500.
Thanks for the video Oskar >:]

Its actually not a remake at all.
He just took the name, also the Tatintino one is spelled "Basterds".
