Only deaf people who hard time to communicate with cops, like deaf people from other country and their learning english. It is good for them to have that card. For deaf people who communicate well, cops who refused to understand or communicate by pen and paper. It will difficult for cops to take his job.
Wow...is that joke or what... all you need give paper & pen.. most cops have common senses to realize you can not speak or hear whatever ..plus keep in legal mind you OWN paper & pen where you can use em against em in case legal shit occurs...

I would feel stupid if I had show a card stating that I am deaf.. I never had a problem being deaf, and would never need that card to show.. I just gesture that I am deaf, so that the officer would know that I am deaf.. Guess what, I have a CDL and drive.. but still think its not needed to use a medical card. I am forced to wear hearing aids in my state, and obtain a medical card.. Am just deaf, and yet ignorant people think its like letting the blind drive if deaf people drive! OH PLS!!

When I went for driving, I had warned the cop who sat in my car passenger seat and he has agreed to write few index cards and any time he needs me to go where he wants me to go, he'd bring it up and show it to me and then I follow it. And passed it with 95 percents.=]
Well, divooriginale know you know deaf people can driv. It's all about focusing their sight on the road & using their sign language to communicate w/ the local police & people around their lives.
It would cost alot of money to do that..My grandpa is 72 years old drivers everday and has never wrecked in his life..There is laws against older people with conditions though.
Not hear in tennessee , i know in the county of hamblen at least 85% of accidents is cause by old people ..an that was from 2002-2006 ..just think that probly doubled .just like today i heard on the news that a old lady pulled into the parking lot of her bank,instead of hitting the brake ,she accelerated and ammed into the bank ..tennessee hasnt even noticed or probly dont care if the truth be known it has got to be looked into .trust me i tryed but other people has got to speak up
In america the majority of accidents are from the spanish community and people age 16-23, Do you want to take away the spanish community's drivers license away to reduce accidents? want to up the age limit to 23? what you dont relize is doing this in america would make us a not so free country...its "land of the free" not "land of the free if your under 65"..
BTW ...its illegal to discriminate someone because of their age/sex....so if the goverment started saying "oh your to old re do this" then employers could say "oh your to old your fired" ...
