  • Great Ideas. I appreciate it when people think through their creations.

  • whats the song called at 2:05?

  • whats the song called at 2:05

  • @126fun Damien Jurado "Ohio" Its the same song as the one at the beginning.

  • I got a kit like this On eBay for about $20 including shipping. YouTube/eBay name viperspeed1. Now have website batchstovez(dot)com. Very pleased with the quality of these kits. It'd cost mote to try to build one than to buy one of these.

  • Really nice little lightweight set! What size Heineken can is that? Thanks! I, too, have the Gram Weenie Pro stove and love it.

  • wow that was creative

  • alternativelly you could just use the jetboil mug cooker you bought to get the neoprene cover in the first place perhaps??

  • @badgedodgerman

Yeah, you could, you would just be adding a bit of weight, and the point of the beer can is to save as much weight as possible. But you could use an alcohol stove with the actual jetboil pot. And I bought this cozy, sold individually, at my local outdoor store for 10 bucks or so.

  • Great idea, however cooking in non coated aluminum sounds like a good way to increase the chance of getting alzimers or whatever it's called. Isn't that why aluminum that isn't anodized or coated isn't allowed?

  • I may not want to use this pot everyday, say, thru hiking...but as a section hiker, using it a few times a year doesn't bother me. I feel more vulnerable breathing the air in the city I live in.

  • @Jmhup

A beer can should be coated to conserve the beer. Do beer companies sell stale beer?

  • No they do not sell stale beer, however they don't boil it in the can either. They use stainless steel kettles for that. I would be just as worried about the "coatings" as i would be the aluminum. They are no cooking coatings.

  • nice!!

  • Great video, my brother in law uses your setup and its great!

Whats the song at the end?!?

  • Nevermind, Damien Jurado,

  • Does the Heineken Aluminum Can Melt???

  • No, it wont melt. As a matter of fact, I've been using the one from this video for over a year and you cant tell that I've ever used it. They're great.

  • looks like you've thought of everything! 5/5 super vid

  • really nice

  • Nice setup dude. Very innovative.

  • how good is the cozy???

  • It works great. Keeps coffee nice and hot, even in cold weather. The other great thing about it is that it also fits perfectly on that big 4 cup Ziploc container in the background. Makes it great for eating a meal out of.

  • Damn nice finds Dude!

  • good idea with the jetboil cozy and the lid to drink.

  • good job

Now, use aluminum tape to create a heat exchanger around the middle of the keg can!

    Bill

  • The cup you referred to is the Zip Lock 8oz tupperware.

  • Yep...and with the lip cut off it weighs .2 oz. (.3 unmodified) A great bowl or cup for any setup.

  • Nice sit up. Good find on the Starbucks lid.

  • How do you get the top off those cans? That makes an awsome lid.

  • You use a specific can opener for removing the tops of cans from the side rather than from the top. They are called "Safe Cut" can openers...I got mine at Williams Sonoma but have seen them at Wallmart and even dollar stores.

  • Great idea! I didn't know the Jetboil cozy fit the Heineken pot so well.

  • Thanks Jason! Glad to have you as a subscriber...very cool.

  • Adding a cup on the bottom is a great idea, saves space and is light wieght. Great setup!

  • Thanks man, I really appreciated it. (Everyone go watch NCHiker's videos...some really innovative stuff)

  • thanks to you as well!
