the majority of this bumblebee is plastic yes but this one is the most complicated they have come out with so far considering it has 2 seperate motors for his arms head and some sound sencers for the reactions he does ... but mostly yes he is plastic

oh, also Omnicron2099, a little comment to add about the design choice for BB as a Camaro as oppose to the VW Beetle. You see, not only was your explanation correct, but also they could not attain the Licensing rights by VW to use the Beetle in the movie. Also, other car companies they turned to were turning them down, so GM was the only ones willing to negotiate. Plus, how stylish can a Beetle look next to all the other stylish and polished vehicles?

very true and from my understanding one of the main reasons why VW didnt want the beetle used for either the alternators toy line or the movie is they didnt want the beetle associated with something that involved a war ie the whole WWII thing ya know ... which is understandable ..

Yeah, after much speculation myself, I can pretty much gaurantee that BB is a 2009 Camaro model. However though, whether or not GM/Chevy will actually make the BB designed 2009 Camaro is beyond me, ive heard rumors, but I cannot confirm.
