For some reason this level gives me trouble. For me to win I use Colin and Sensei. Colin mech spams while Sensei spams battle copters. It is possbile to use Grit or Olaf but then I risk losing with Blue moons troops.
Something funny. If you get everything to go exactly as you did it, but your tank manages to have 6 HP instead of 5 HP, the missile the enemy fires targets the 6 HP tank instead of Grit's artillery.
I guess 700 funds really makes a difference, doesn't it?
@coolman9899 They come close to doing that in Hard Mode, since the factory is independent of map funds. I shat a megaton brick when Lash unleashed a Bomber, a Md Tank and an A-Air on Day 4.
I used Colin for this map, and actually did manage to win properly. The trick is to cripple the initial wave with missiles, and then advance up the map with your dozens of units.
@darthteej1 alternatively push in a straight line upward with grit, use a super power and 1hit the seam with a rocket but in all honesty bombers are much more fun :P
Ya know, that title is right if you think about it, Mr. Super indirect and Mr. super direct would make a ridickulas amount of firepower for all units.
Ironically, they absolutely sucked as a team in AW:DS. Rather than cover each other's weaknesses, they exposed them, since they utilise very different tactical approaches.
Heh, it's kinda funny that Max's air units are as good as Eagle's (and in AW1 his was even better!), so it's nice that there isn't an indirect air unit... or is it?
And Jess has the ability to refuel them instantly with her CO Power. Gee, a lot have advantages through air units... but they're good for almost everyone... although expensive.
Except that he isn't. He doesn't have Eagle's air unit fuel use reduction, Jess's extra movement/refuelling powers, or Drake's mass damage/fuel halving powers.

@Dragonite43
I could be wrong, but I didn't think you had access to the Yellow Comet CO's at this stage in the game?
MalusCalibur 10 months ago
@MalusCalibur You can as long as you beat yellow combat before blue moon.

@Dragonite43
Thats right, I remember now - the game opens both at the same time.

I actually finished yellow comet first. I got Kanbei to fight instead of max.

Using Colin all the time wouldn't be all that fun, though, would it.

Max covering Grit's indirects while Grit smashes anything that gets in Max's way. Tasty.

y'know if the factory makes any unit for free why don't they just nake bomers/neotanks from turn one?
FlloydOwnsAll 3 years ago
I think its to do with the funds they have, if they couldnt build it normally, then they cant build it in a factory.
Just a guess

Although Max's air units are more powerful than Eagle's, Eagle has other bonuses: his air units use less fuel, which for them is a huge advantage.

and then there's kanbei, who is eagle, jess, and drake rolled into one. He's even better in AW:DS if you give him cost reducing skills.

Touché!

Also, the skills in AW:DS are for wusses.
