I feel sympathy. I play the pic, and mine is temperamental, too. It was always sharp. Have you checked if the cork is in the right position?

If you take the stick that came with the piccolo and find the line, you can find out if your cork is the problem. Just take the metal stick and shove it up the headjoint of the pic. If the line you found earlier is not in the center of the hole, then that is your major problem! Go online to find out how to move the cork inside of your picollo!

Yeah, it always is...thats the best we can do with it. Spent like half an hour warming it up and everything but thats the best we can do. Stil love it anyways lol

My piccolo is WAY sharp! lol...it's a real shame though anyways Great articulation though!!! For me it's hard to do staccato on piccolo without messing up. Have fun playing!

its easier to make a sharp picc go flat cause you just pull it out, but our picc is terrible it just hates anything sounding normal lol. oh well

they maybe tempramental but we love them anyways lol :=)

oh yeah a tip to make it not flat is to tighten embocure and use more air pressure, just a liiitle. hope that helps the piccolo! :D

yeah, its amazing. i love what the POTC composers did. And also i like these pieces cause we have found that alot of the time you can play pieces layered over one another to create a different piece. Like 'one day' and 'davy jones' fit together nicely, so i can have alex playin davy jones over one day and it sounds cool :_)

I love Piccolos. I play an all metal Piccolo, mostly as a marching and Symphonic Piccolo, but I always thought the whole metal ones were harder to get sound out of.

yes, alex is amazing on piccolo...but here the piccolo was outta tune because i dunno if you find this, but piccolo's are really hard to tune. But now Alex has got it fixed so we are making more video's like this. Thanks for commenting and glad you liked it :)

Metal piccolos are even harder than the black plastic ones like she has. The only person I can tune with in the band is the bells. The bells match my every note half the time. :]

Alex has been playin flute for like 8 years or summit, an piccolo for 2, but it was the piccolo's fault. It was broken, but its bein fixed now :)

Yeah. o 3o Piccolos get really bad REALLY fast. Our school piccolo is terrible. I thought it was because our first flutist sucked, but I tried playing it yesterday and it really was just like air with different pitch. The one person who got an okay sound on it was our oboe player!
