He also plays smaller venues in England, i saw him in Salisbury, it was intimate and absolutely wild not jubilant, i was right at the front, there was no chance of moving around and chatting.
It was the beginning of the concert and everyone was trying to find their seats and being sent backwards. Trust me, we have Morrissey fans, and crazy ones jumping on the stage too. Just watch the video from Nikt22. There was 10 plus people that jumped on the stage and hugged him on his encore, and taken away by security.
Well what can i say? You lot over there in America have been ranting and flipping raving about giving Morrissey a great welcome, but looking at this video it looks like you couldn't care less about him, people walking out and wandering around, gaps in the audience and people chatting. I think Morrissey should have walked out!
I have to agree that the crowd could have been more lively. However, Morrissey has said it himself that he feels fortunate to still be relevant with little or no airplay in the U.S. I was ten rows back from the stage and he's never sounded better. The band he's playing with is very tight. He knows his following in the UK is jubilant but, likes the intimacy of playing smaller venues in the U.S.
Wow. I was standing in this same area. I think I see the back of my head!

We were in the first balcony. People STOOD for the entire show. Never have I seen such respect, admiration and excitement for an artist!
