High school is really not a social club and sometimes high school romances never last. When you go to college, you will find that other people are like you and you will find that someone either there or later in life. Think of your life first before you think of a relationship. Take it from me, don't give into pressure from family or friends. You get into a relationship when you are ready.
It's cool that you two are still friends. I agree with the whole...title. :P A lot of my friends are looking for love in HS and it's crazy, 'cause they'll just get hurt and whatnot.
I wasn't looking for love in high school, but my senior year I started dating my current boyfriend of five years. We have a lot of trust and respect for each other and we both want to keep this relationship going for the rest of our lives.
But man, I'm sorry about your break up and I know how things like that can get a person down. Don't let it get too you too bad, you've got a long life ahead of you and plenty of opportunities for love.
im going to have to disagree with you on this one. like you said, your parents met in high school and are still together, right? so yeah, it is possible. i've seen quite a few couples like that.
although i would def say that it's not probable, cuz well, high school is high school. even so, break-ups are really disheartening...
either way,
i wouldn't be looking for it in the first place. it's better if it just comes.
I agree with you that it is better to be casual in high school, but I think you gotta know that it never really gets any easier to make long-term relationships work. My longest relationship has been six years, but they have averaged abou 1~2 years. Very few people, straight or gay, can make it work over a lifetime. It is a romantic ideal from movies that does not really work for most of us...
I know exactly what you are going through, although im straight ive had my share of break-ups as well. But cheer up because you grow from it in the long run, and you are young enough to explore new outcomes.
Love hurts. But as long as you can feel the pain you are alive and taking a chance on romance. High school is full of passion and hormones. It is rare that a relationship lives on past graduation. College is not much different. You will be experiencing a lot of personal growth. Your soul mate will come along. Keep your heart open. Don't sell yourself short; you are attractive...so are Asian guys. Keep the faith. :)

True that, the same exact thing happened to me. High school relationships are kind of pointless.
