When I was in the army I knew of plenty of gays who were in my company. Nobody gave a shit as long as they did they job. Malkin and O'Reilly are the worse hypocrites. If you care so much about maintaining the integrity and moral of the military why couldn't you signed up to serve your country for at least the minimum two years.

The only reason Clinton signed it into law was because there wasn't enough support for his original position: allowing gays and lesbians to serve in the military openly. He had to compromise; even Bill Clinton himself dislikes "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".

You don't have the right to have sex in your bunks because you have a security clearance. Nevertheless, peculiar focus is put on gays in the military because the values which military persons develop together are competitive wth other concerns. This gay/straight divisiveness is strategic. There are a lot of young, immature rape-os in the military, some may not know they are are gay or that thier gung-ho old man is gay, whatever. The sexual straight world in the military is not ideal either
