As far as I know the only bosch pump you can turn up is the VE pump found on the 1990-1993 Cummins Rams, the 2003+ Rams have the Bosch CP3 Common Rail injection ppump

hey bellaggio1770 cummins is already meeting 2010 U.S emmisions. theres nothin wrong with alittle black smoke. my 2007 2500 has dual 6" aussie stacks and it lays smoke so thick people have to stay back to wait for it to clear

Smog does not just come from diesel fuel genius. More of it comes from regular gasoline because gassers produce much higher emissions than diesels... look it up

Yes some of the particulate matter contributes to smog, and yes diesel engines are not 100% emissions free, but the black smoke is unburnt fuel, most of which settles back to the ground. Diesels produce less carbon monoxide than regular gasoline motors, and the black soot is composed of carbon compounds that were not fully combusted, most of which do not enter the atmosphere.

I like smoke but, Is the center gauge the EGT? DID it hit 1400 Deg.? You need more turbo, With more turbo you'll make more power, less smoke and you won't burn your pistons, valves and turbine, and your less likely to crack your exhaust manifold. Smoke is soot, Soot carbon, carbon, the first stage of diamonds. those first stage diamonds are very abrasive.That abrasive is getting past the rings, scuffing the cylinder wall and the bearings on the crank. what sport/muscle cars are you thinking of stock or slightly modded car vs a modded cummins? For the same amount of money a modded gas engine is gonna be faster than a modded diesel, fact is diesels don't rev up as quick as a gas. Granted modern diesel design and twin-turbos have made diesels more like their gas cousin in many ways, throw the same design advancement and money into a gas and it'll make the new diesels looks subpar.
