They had bred once for the previous owner in 2005, then not again until I bought them this past fall. I quarantined them for 30 days and they went to nest within a couple weeks of being put into the birdroom after quarantine was over.
I really don't see why they would be. My congo pair has given me only infertile eggs so far, but that is a reflection on the individual birds rather than the species. I think as with most birds, if you have a pair that get along well and are in good health, you will most likely do ok. I mean, we have to supply the proper things but in the end it is still up to them. :)
