John's mate is John Dunbar, former husband of Marianne Faithfull. There were on acid that very day. They were watching TV at John's house when they heard about the event, then they went...
On Saturday, April 29, 1967 John Lennon and his friend John Dunbar went down to the Alexandra Palace in London to attend the 14 Hour Technicolour Dream event.
Also at this happening was Yoko Ono, though I'm not sure how well John knew her at this point in time. On stage was Pink Floyd.
Careful with those scissors Eugene! Great footage, would have loved to have been thereat the 14 hour technicolour drem, but unfortunately wasn't born until three years later, but as all existence is a continuous stream, with no beginning or end, maybe I was there, hmmm, interesting.
Fellow Syd fans wont you take a minute to check out my song? its called "the majority" i wrote it a while ago but i uploaded it the other day. id appreciate your comments its on my profile favourites.
it took place on the 14th of january 1967 (right in the middle of Sgt Pepper"s sessions) at the Alexandra Palace for a happening called '14 hours Technicolor Dream")
John was at his Kenwood house. he was on acid with a friend and heard about this event while he was watching TV and he and a friend decided to go there on the spot. Far out !!!
The music is from 1967. It's called "Nick's Boogie," from the "Interstellar Overdrive" CD. It was used in the film "Tonight Let's All Make Love In London."
Alot of early Pink Floyd music is just wanking this is a pure example anyone including a chimp could make this racket dont get me wrong I like Barrett/floyd.
@stomp919 A chimp maybe, you though, um, err, funny how you played yerself on that. This is an awesome tune from one of the ALL TIME MOST SUCCESSFUL group of MUSICIANS in history. You however like me are entitled to your opinion. Gilmore can drop a guitar and make it sing a blues rif. Come on brudda?!
The event was the 14 Hour Technicolour Dream at the Alexandra Palace, London on Saturday, 29th April 1967. John and friend John Dunbar were tripping on acid at John`s house in Weybridge when they saw a news item about the event. John got someone to drive them up to London. John was indeed tripping and didn`t stay long.
this is from The 14 hour Technicolour Dream concert in london 1967....The Floyd with Syd Barrett headlined this show.......Yoko Ono Shot this footage and it's also how she met Lennon. I believe A guy named Tom whitehead directed this whole movie. i have this DVD and it's pretty fun to watch.
@justahippiekid -simple...sound and vision, just different sound and different vision. If you look into what Sid Barrett was doing and what Yoko Ono was doing it really all makes sense. They were trying to expand the arena of Pop music and art. So it seems trippy, but it is using those elements that confuse the rational mind. Look up Surrealism, John Cage and Stan Brackhage. That will help.
This is a video mix of John lennon and audio of Pink Floyd. They never performed that I know of, together. One word...TRIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!
@justahippiekid This is the 1967 "14 hour technicolour dream' event at alexandra palace London - with lots of way out underground happenings happening - well far out by all accounts...
this was in the alexandra palace in london.14 hr phsyc out.lennon was there trippin on acid.floyd played along with soft machine egg and others.it was aparently what influenced him to write pepper.there is a good documentary about it on sky arts.keep an eye out for it and you will discover the facts you require.
@weenyone Has to be somewhere between Late Spring and summer 1967. Looking at John's hair and general style I would say approximately May/June 1967. Around the time of Sgt Pepper's release..
@dntcallitacomeback Thanks for the response. You have really added to the discussion. Should 14 year old pimply faced virgins like yourself not be looking Greenday or Lady Gaga video's or something? I assume you clicked on this video by accident?
i either have this on dvd or vhs

He could hardly play the guitar and his lyrics were lazy nursery rhymes. Pink Floyd became so much better with Gilmour.
