  • i feel like a bad ass playing along to this as well

  • most songs start slow and get intense... this one starts intense and then breaks out into a slower conclusion

  • this is Dm right? it's sounding weird when i'm improvising

  • @tannerr96 it shouldnt, dm is right..

  • @Snakbratsch alright it must be my guitar then. my tuner says it's in tune but when i play the C#m chord is sounds weird too. does having my guitar stand by the window affect it in any way since it's cold outside now?

  • @tannerr96 YES!!!! dont put it there, not even in the summer

but if your tuner says its all good.. i dont know, does it sound bad or just out of tune? your neck could be bended already, cant tell without to hear it..

oh and to the cold thing again, my guitar got out of tune just by carrying it outside about a km.. i got floorheating, so all my guitars are on carpets a bit away from the heat, try to avoid temperature changings, dont put a good guitar an an outside wall, even thats bad..

  • @Snakbratsch alright i think it's having it sit by outside wall and the tunign with the tuning issue i think the battery is almost dead so it's not working as well. i can't tell though because when i put new batteries in, and they were brand new, it still had the need new battery sign but i've been using them for a good year now so i can't go by the symbol but i guess it's coming to that time for new ones again

  • The mother of all riffs...

  • vocals? :(

  • I CAN ONLY NAME 4 GUITARISTS BETTER THAN HIM 4.JIMMI HENDRIX, 3.STEVE RAY VAUGHN, 2.EDDIE VANHALEN, 1.RANDY RHOADS!

  • @TANNERGRN clapton is fine but there are more than 4 players better than him.. try putting a zero onto that. i'll list you several that blow clapton away.. Govan, Hutchings, Di Meola, Petrucci, Holdsworth, Etheridge, Shawn Lane, Timmons, Thammarat, McLaughlin, and thats just 10 for you....and a top ten at that..

  • @bensooty1 try putting a -4 onto that. no one is better than Clapton dumbass

  • @jumpmanJB23 Wake up Numbnuts....There are dozens and dozens better than clapton.. dont get me wrong, clapton has done some fine music inc Behind the Mask, Crossroads, Cocaine, Layla etc but to say no-one is better than clapton is silly..it shows your limited knowledge of guitarists..!!

  • @bensooty1 no it shows that you listen to shit. no one cares about just speed if its not fluid and has no purpose. thats why Clapton IS KNOW AS ONE OF THE BEST and the people you mentioned will never be considered the best cuz no one wants to listen to shit

  • @jumpmanJB23 i listen to clapton on a regular basis so you are contradicting yourself as you are now saying what i listen to is shit.. and i listen to clapton so in your own words he must be shit.....no-one said it was about speed, dave gilmore is one of the best players around and i admire him greatly and he's no speed freak.. i have worked with some amazing guitar players that put clapton in the shade, yet i like clapton and always have done.. so shut it..

  • @bensooty1 do you mean David Gilmore? yes hes good but a lot of the guys you mentioned arent. you obviously havent listened to Claptons early live stuff. Hes considered the best by MANY for a reason

  • @jumpmanJB23 you tell me 1 of the guitarists i mentioned that you can say is not good..!! if you can with honesty i will call you a liar to your face.. clapton is good, i never said he was'nt but there are too many players to list that are much better than clapton.. and i dont mean just because they play fast riffs, it is the quality and technique some of these players have..in many cases what they have cannot be taught as it is natural talent..

  • @bensooty1 theyre not bad some actually pretty good, but on claptons level no

  • @jumpmanJB23 when you have either grown up with your fav guitar player or you rate a player so highly, that is all you see.. its like not being able to see the wood for the trees so to speak... there are dozens and dozens of guitarists that blow clapton away..i like clapton and always have done ever since i worked with him years ago. he has an unusual vibrato that i cannot for the life of me copy..i have tried but i dont like it but it works for him.. good player but you need to open yr eyes.

  • @bensooty1 dude i have open yours. i liked others before him and watched and listened to many. Clapton blows me away. its not the notes he plays but when and how he places the notes in a song is unhuman. the guys you mentioned think too much when they play not feel. im sure youve heard a lot of people talk about feel and for a good reason. the most important thing in guitar playin. you can work on it but only to an extent. Clapton was born the best cant teach what hes got.

  • @jumpmanJB23 ps..another 2 amazing players for you are George Lynch and Greg Howe.. incredible talent.. claptons layla is great but Larry Carltons version is better..inst version.

  • @bensooty1 no way man its good but Claptons version is way better. and clapton really is better

  • @killrJB well each to their own eh?

  • @TANNERGRN jimmy page man!!!!!

  • @TANNERGRN 0. steve vai

  • @TANNERGRN i can name 0 because there is no guitarist better than Eric Clapton

  • Clapton is God!

  • Snapped 2 e strings while playing this

    -.-

    Fuck...

  • @DaMnMeSsEdUpKeYbOaRd Use ernie ball 10. gauge strings you will never break those strings

  • @Gamfreekz Maybe not, but i was doing a huuuge bend and using the tremolo too

I knew not to do that...

  • @DaMnMeSsEdUpKeYbOaRd Then use ernie ball 11 guage rps(Reinforced plated strings) then that should help you can do just about anything on those, it's what Kirk hammett uses.

  • I love it mostly and thanks, but I wish the slide part wasn't there (: But thanks all the same

  • I spent the last week practicing this song like crazy and I finally nailed it!!!!!!!! Thank you Mr. Clapton for inspiring people to make ( or copy) music

  • So my mate knows the song on guitar, as he jams I play on this AWESOME BACKINGTRACK (see what i did there ?? >.> ) and hi shreds alone and then, he plays the slide part too. On my guitar. Which I'll probably burn after this..nice though, just added it on the 'to learn it' list

  • this is great thanks!

  • the beginning is my favorite part. i feel like SUCH A BOSS WHEN I PLAY THIS!

  • Fucking awesome ;-)

  • It even has Duane Allman's part.

  • It's just a rip-off from the Cd i got with the book "play guitar with Eric Clapton"

  • so? who cares

  • i can play this song and it feels so great 2 play

  • well i wish i could play this so i could use it =(

  • and please, better then eric? are you kidding me?

  • thank u so much for putting this on, ivbeen searching for a backing track to layla ages!

    thanks! :D

  • but the lead guitar is still there?

  • Nice one buddy that is ablinding backing track. Thanks !

  • this musta been a REALLY freakin' hard back track to backtrack(if it is the derek and the domino's recorded version) because that has SIX GUITAR PARTS!! GAAH!

  • i actualy tried to find the name of this song. For years and years and i found it thank you BACKING TRACKS

  • Wow man, great amount of detail in your work! Very professional! If only YouTube didn't convert videos into mono.

  • they don't, try adding &fmt=18 to the end of the url

  • Wow, I've been trying this for a while and it didn't work for my own videos, I get high quality video, but the sound remained mono. But for some reason, with this video, the sound is stereo!

  • This is spot on. Fantastic!

  • Thank you man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
