I'm not saying no skill is involved in playing with a controller but I prefer using a dance pad. Megaman timeline in a nutshell.

Original megaman defeats wily lots of times.

Wily makes zero. Zero goes on rampage, sigma defeats zero and makes him good, in the process he becomes bad... X' is awaken. zero and X fight sigma together, Zero is frozen and X keeps fighting. Zero wakes up and X is like... a fairy or something... gay... Zero realizes his body is a copy and he kills the original.

Heh, you don't need to practice much to get on that level. Stepmania is pretty easy to pick up, and beginning dance/keyboard players make major advancements in skill in a very short time. You could be as good as this in a few months. But of course it depends on the person.
