  • Thats Carls bus at 33secs in... we got booted out that year...met up with folk at Smeatharpe for a free one...

  • That was an epic gig, epic festival, gives me goosebumbs watching it, I'm bang in the middle that, on mushrooms and off with the fairies. Soo many great things that weekend, NME stage was amazing, the Orb, Jah wobbles invaders of the Heart and, Primal Scream on one night, and of course Tom "f*cking"Jones, who rocked the place silly. Thanks for upping it :D

  • This was my first Glastonbury too - £49 a ticket and an absolutely outstanding lineup. Hope everyone is having a great time this year.

  • Good to see the comments from other people who were there. I was there too, it was my first Glastonbury, having hitched down from Sheffield and crawled under the fence, and that Levellers performance will forever be in my mind I hope. I remember the dust rising from the crowd as we all jumped and sang, and the energy was incandescent!

And revol148, I like to think I'm still a beautiful person...:-)

  • @andrewdavid68 Hi Andrew - great to hear you are (still) a beautiful person - 20 years after this footage was taken - and indeed still have the spirit in you where you would at least consider crawling under a fence to see a band.Either way I'd still like to know whatever happened to the girl at 1:34 though! Happy new year!

  • and just think most of the beautiful people there in the crowd are now in their late 30's,married with kids, mortgaged up to the hilt and watch the BBC glastonbury festival highlights from the comfort of their own armchair.

  • I was there in 89 and 92

this was awesome as was Carter USM and James and of course NAD Ned's atomic Dustbin

  • This was it. This was the first time I saw the levs. This was also one of the nails in Glastonbury festivals coffin. The festival that people 40 and above remember with passion.

  • Yey!!! this was my 1st Glastonbury too, Levellers where my fave band and I was right at the very front, to the right . I wish it still had that same rebel feel to it, and not, like you say, that corporate feel. Miss the travellers that used to be allowed in for free (remember?)

Still, not so much tent robbing since the super fence went up.

  • I wish glastonbury was still like this

  • Before the BBC gave it that special corporate feel it has now?

    Yeah. Me too.

Still the best festival around though...

  • @NotEvsie biggest and best festival ever by a mile

  • my first glastonbury too a great band
