Watch Cosby for timing. Let your story wash over the audience. It's OK if their mind gets to the punchline first, THEN give them what they want and have already pictured, but in your better phrased, comic way. You're not washing the audience, you're punching through the delivery the entire story, slam, slam, slam.
Critique should be useful and constructive. In that vein, you should slow down your delivery. Take some pauses. Your punchlines come too fast. And since your voice is somewhat high-pitched, and you pace back and forth too SHORTly, and too quickly, your delivery seems rushed and stressful. Watch some other comics, watch their slower timing. Even if nervous, especially if so, slow down. Try classic Victor Borge - can he build audience attention or what! Your content was fine.
I love how in today's society, this can be both clean and relative and still manage to stay with in the bounds of our faith! You are doing an awesome job chic... keep with it.
