Mainfraime Entertainment knew how to make characters the epitome of badass. And when the time came for it; they knew how to make you absolutely weep watching those same characters meet their end proud, defiant, and honorable til their dying breath. Pyrus put it best: They died as they lived; Gloriously!
The Show really deserve a Final Season because they just put the Beast out of way but others planets sufer because they put ther Beast in other star system
I went back to rewatch this show a week ago because it remains my all time favorite show from my childhood. I had forgotten how much actual drama and how many "adult" scenes were in this show, and I actually teared (WTF?!?) at this scene. Then later on when there's the line, "...now I fill her days, and her nights" I laughed so hard because that went right over my head as a kid. Best damn show Mainframe ever put out, and I want to get something else out of it.
Someone need to make the the Third And FINAL SEASON.... i mean most of these voice actors are doing the Gundam series so there still around and theres so much that needs to be answered really.
I wonder if there's a way to Make Rainmaker understand that WE WANT THE THIRD SEASON.
@tandler "I spit my last breath at thee" Isn't that a line of Moby Dick? and also Wrath of Khan?, first there where Shakespeare references in Beast Wars, the guys at Mainframe had a lot of talent.
I've been viewing this series lately and to be honest the overall quality is generally average but this moment is certainly very well written and touching. Its the first thing about the series that has truly stood out and been memorable.
i love the voice actor for prince pyrus, matt hill, he has such a recognisable voice and he's a very good actor too, i've seen dragonbooster (he played Artha Penn) and my other fav cartoon stormhawks (he played Finn :D), he rocks!!
This Series was amazing, but not as well received as other Mainframe titles.I never watched this scene, and now, watching it for the first time,I was amazed on how well done the Vizier's final scene.Jim Byrnes did an amazing job in voiceing this character, and gave me a reason to like this show far more than the others Mainframe Series'.
FUCK, This show is Fucken GREAT!!!! I remember when i was a kid I always fucken watch this show. Oh yeah I watched this show along with teh 3d Animated Voltron. Its fukcen great. I will always remember this show!
The planet was already doomed to begin with. And as the Vizier said himself, he felt that he was no longer needed, plus he was deeply sorry about the way he treated the non-Fire races.
I guess he saw this as the only way to buy the others some time, and to repent from his misjudgement.
how is it a last stand thats running into a room full of people with all kinds of weapons that want to kill u unarmed. what would u hope to acomplish by doing that lol
If I remember right: he couldn't have run if he'd wanted to. The big booster rocket things on planet fire got damaged in an explosion but that's about all I can remember of the pretext to this scene.
what was the point of doing this i never understood what he hoped he could do. all it would do would make the beast think wtf why is this guy doing this ur an idot but hey thanks for being an idiot and letting us kill u.
The bit where Pyrus reaches out his hand to his always gets me. This is as good a scene as you'll see in anything from anywhere. It was the planet-scale equivalent of the Vizier striking the Eater of Worlds in last defiance before being consumed.

This character easily stands out as one of the best I ever saw in my childhood.
I only hope that when our species faces the end of our world, we meet it with the same courage as him.

My Heart skipped a Beat when the Shadow Raiders writing appeared on the screen for the ending; so sad & haunting
That was the Grand Vizier's best scene and one of if not the best of the show

Hopefully one day Mainframe (Rainmaker) will make the right choice and come back & finish the series instead of releasing pointless Barbie movies.
Shows like Shadow Raiders are somethings we never see very much of.

@tombakerazshadow This whole scene is probably the best the series has to offer: in trope language, these three minutes contain:
Tearjerker
Worthy Opponent
Crowning Moment of Heartwarming
Heroic Sacrifice
Senseless Sacrifice
Crowning Music of Awesome
Facing the Bullets One Liner
Crowning Moment of Awesome
Truly this is one of the grandest moments of children and young adult's television.

thewewguy8t88 3 years ago
A last stand is knowing you are going to die but still make one last desperate struggle to make every last minute you have count.
The Alamo was a last stand. The Spartans of 300 was a last stand. And this video, is a last stand.
Planet Fire was doomed and there was only one option left: Die and possibly take the beast with you.
GhostMLD 3 years ago 21
I agree
The vizir said
"Our glorius world is doomed
but perhaps it may not need to perish in vein"

If you fans out there learned BASIC programming, I bet you could collaborate together to program a 3D War Planets game (maybe RTS?) using Blitz3D.

I'm a brazilian fan of the series and all I can say is:
The show was one of the best I ever saw on TV... I loved it and I hated they never made a REAL END for it...
However, the story itself is enough to make us all hail the Warrior planets!

I saw the end of the series, beast planet transported to an unknown part of the galaxy, in the end you can see another planet ready to be eaten
