  • Sick dude ! Love your rims , I want those on my 99'

  • @jdr21222 Thanks! You really like my rims? They are the SE Machined Finish rims. I plan on using these during the winter time and on rainy days.

  • So what's the diff between this AEM pipe and a $30 pipe from eBay??

  • @Mariosanche89 "You get what you pay for." Think about it.

  • I'm thinking about it.. I have a 1998 accord. I live in Florida it rains a lot, will I have an issue with cold air intake and rain water??

  • @agenteks1 I live in one of *the most* wettest states in the U.S. and I have had zero, zilch, nada, no issues with my car having the AEM V2 Intake. Your car will be fine.

  • Nice :)

  • Automatic

  • it looks cool when you install one... but did u knew you just get some extra 4 horsepower with that xD

  • @Mexicanorockero Actually with the v2 it's a lot of horsepower gain. I can't recall the exact. It can also take off up to .7 seconds off of your 0-60 time by it's self.

  • ohhh NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT 2 SONG!!!!

    ORDINARY!!!

  • can you tell me what size is the aem v2 filter

  • @justword 3 inches.

  • Props! Nice vid.

  • @michaellowrider Thanks!

  • Noob. You obv havent worked on anything with a motor let alone imports. You. Do more work than necessary labeling stuff and u done have to take the filter out of the airbox

  • @frostygraff No, you don't say?! Fucking dipshit, read the description & pay close attention to the first 0:13 seconds, it SAYS I'm still learning! This was supposed to be a private video for me so if I got stuck, I could refer back to this video, but I decided to share this w/ other newbies, such as myself, so we all can learn. It's a learning curve that you went through, too. You just made yourself look like a complete dick to the community. Congratu-fuckin-lations! Eat a dick!

  • Can you put a bag of ice on your intakes?

  • @Anoush13 I'm not sure what you want to accomplish with that. I've heard other methods using a bag of ice, but haven't heard anything about using it on your intake.

  • @Leonhart306 I was joking ;P

  • @Anoush13 Oh, HAHAHA! Weirdo! :P

  • did you have to use a jack to assist with your installation at all?

  • @Joshsmoove I didn't need a jack. I does help when trying to take off the bumper, but you don't really need it.

  • @Leonhart306 thanks for the help on the vid! I didnt need a jack either.

  • @Joshsmoove You're most welcome! Post a vid!

  • @Leonhart306 Here it is!

  • Wait!!! But with the intake on will it pass the smoke check?

  • @mrmagik714 Smoke check or emissions check? If you're talking about emissions, then, yes. I passed my emissions check in December 2011.

  • can i put a air intake supercharger booster to a ACCORD 2.3L F23 AEM V2 INTAKE KIT? by the way good video

  • @issaias01 I don't see why not. Just make sure you get the 3in compatible.

  • Can installing one of these cause a CEL (Check Engine Light) to come on?

  • @yungburrgariansmker Great question! The answer is no.

  • Wow, fantastic and super helpful video. i just recently got a 1998 accord ex with the f23a1 and auto tranny. mine is dark green. im subscribing!

  • @sideshow45 Thanks for the comment and the subscription! I'll be posting more videos of future mods soon.

  • @sideshow45 i just got one too! mine is silver though. i deffinatly plan to instal an intake once i get a little more money. thatll be my first car project

  • Never mind the other question so where can I buy the varex muffler and what model did u get?

  • @yovihe xForce is the manufacture that made the exhaust. You can find on eBay. I have the 2.5in inlet with a 105mm outlet round body.

  • Where did you get that exhaust with the silencer or what's the name of the whole thing

  • Hey what was that thing u were doing with the remote and how can I get it and install....pretty good video am planning on doing the same on mine

  • @yovihe Thanks! As for the remote, it was controlling my exhaust. Check out my channel for video. It will be there main video on my Channel.

  • sick! i have the same car and im deffinitly going to get the same intake. u inspired me bro lol

  • @WavyCasey You're welcome. You won't be disappointed!

  • No problem man! I assume all 2002 Honda Accords SE came with the F20A1 engines(150hp)? How would you be able to tell which motor is in the car?

I can't wait to install mine. It came in today. Mine came with 2 brackets, 1 is L shaped with one hole, the other is horizontal with 2 holes. Not sure how I'm going to mount it like you did near the bottom of the air box. Because it's not welded like yours was. I can't complain for $42 dollars, I'll make it work.

  • @Scorpio76688 To check the engine code on the car you can look on the block itself. When facing the engine, it's on the left side near the exhaust headers.

  • Nice Video! I have 2002 Accord SE. I ordered a Cold Air Intake. Did you notice any power increase? How does the intake sound from inside the car?

Very helpful video! You should do some street racing videos with the intake added. I've seen your Test Run video. Can't wait to install mine.

  • @Scorpio76688 Thanks for your complement.

Here is a repost of what I told another person about the intake: "I love this intake. As terms of HP and TQ, I haven't had it dynoed to find out the real numbers. I do feel a difference in power and torque."

If you rewatch the Test Video you'll hear how the intake sounds inside the car. Not sure about doing any street racing, too many cops where I live, but I'm really glad the video helped.

  • What is the part number of the intake? i wanted to get the dual chamber but it says its for Manual Transmission. but yours is an automatic transmission isnt it? just like mine.

  • @cj93kjt The Part Number is 24-6015C. It says that it's for M/T Only but it will still fit on your A/T. After a year and a half since I made this video, I have had ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES after installing this onto my A/T. I hope this helps.

  • @Leonhart306 great! i already ordered mine. so how do you like it so far? do you notice any gains of hp or torque maybe better gas mileage when you dont have a heavy foot?

  • @cj93kjt I love this intake. As terms of HP and TQ, I haven't had it dynoed to find out the real numbers. I do feel a difference in power and torque. I do have a log for mpg. I filled each tank when it was near EMPTY.

From 1/19/11 to present: Average 24.62mpg *There was some heavy footing between this period (^_^)

The most I have ever gotten was: 26.87mpg; 372mi

    I hope this helps.

  • @Leonhart306 Cant wait i install mine! Thanks! youve been very help full! us 6th gen. accords gotta stick together!

  • @cj93kjt I agree. There isn't a lot of support to the 6th Gen. I'll be posting a video of my lip kit soon. I get it back from the body shop tomorrow. I have the Type R Lip, Vizage Side Skirts/V6 Rear Lip, wide fender flares and OEM Spoiler. I'll be doing a dual exhaust outlet soon. Stay tuned.

  • In terms of performance, what does this do for your car?

  • @darknite925 Great performance throughout the RPM range. The smaller diameter pipe is great from 1K-3K and the larger diameter is great for 4K+. I notice more torque when accelerating and even great torque when VTEC kicks in at 4K RPMs.

  • @Leonhart306 Cool..I notice the same on mine, but I have an SRI and left the resonator box on

  • Comment removed

  • Hey When It Rains Does It Affect Your Engine? Cause I Gotta A Fujita Cold Air Intake And They Told Me That ANY Cold Air Intake Shouldnt Be Run In Wet Weather. But I Just Wanna Know.

  • @tommy18ccool If you live in a wet weather state you will need a bypass valve. As for me, the V2 is not compatible with a bypass valve but it can be used in wet weather because the outer tube traps the water from getting into the engine.

I have had zero problems with running my V2 in wet weather. I live in one of the wettest states in the country.

  • @tommy18ccool Don't worry about the whole wet weather thing needing a bypass valve, unless you plan on submerging the front end of your car completely under water or driving on flooded roads because truth is the engine doesn't suck in air strong or fast enough for you to have to worry about a little rain or a small puddle. Plus with a bypass valve you might as well just be using a short ram intake instead. I had a cheap CAI on my CG3 and drove through small puddles fine.

  • @tommy18ccool its true, it shouldnt be ran if its wet, the intake can suck up water and mess shit up. solve this problem by getting a ait bypass valve, look it up for your intake!!!

  • Check out my accord. Its a work in progress. Please subscribe.

  • Thanks, that was helpful.

Tip: get a tripod, then you can use 2 hands!!

    Great vid, car sounds awesome!!!

  • @4x4cRiSpY Thanks for the suggestion. It was tough doing all that with one hand.

  • HELP!!! i just recently purchesed a AEM SHORT RAM INTAKE for my 2002 Honda Accord 2.3LT engine. i recieved the intake and installed but just noticed that the part was for a 1994-1997accord 2.2 LT engine.. is there a problem with the different engines. part fitted well but should i worry that is a difference in LT engines? ANYONE ????

  • @jesse1988 The F22 and F23 are similar, but I would advise you to check with the company.

  • @jesse1988 if its just the air intake just make it fit and make sure you connect everything that should attach to the air intake. theres not much of a difference when it comes to that in the accords.

  • wait what was that a remote to at the end of the video? that was insane

  • @rayb9281 a butterfly valve to his exhaust.

  • blue housed headligts! DIGGIN IT

  • I wanna install an intake on my 93 honda civic but its automatic will there be a difference on speed if so how much??? Help

  • @MrEsekaka On my automatic. I do feel a difference in power and acceleration. I have not dynoed the car yet so I don't know for sure how much power and torque I've gained.

  • ive driven many cars and the f22 and f23 are the best sohc enignes hands down

  • @1PARADOXXX Would you turbo the F23A1 or leave it as is?

  • @Leonhart306 personally i would not turbo it. i prefer the responsiveness from a high compression all motor built honda

  • @1PARADOXXX Would you suggest anything other parts I should add on? So far, I have headers, exhaust, and CAI.

  • @Leonhart306 after i installed i/h/e on my accord i wen on to upgrade the clutch and flywheel. that way the clutch can hold the added power and with the lighter flywheel it will rev a lil faster. after that i bought a lsd. that made a huge difference

  • @1PARADOXXX My Accord is currently an automatic. My wife can't drive a manual and this is the only car we own at this time. So that's out the question. What about cams, fuel rail, and thottle body?

  • @Leonhart306 cams is not a bolt on part. you really need to know wat power at wat rpm your looking for. wen you buy a cam you also need to upgrade the rest of the valvetrain i.e springs retainers etc. you made a good point in upgrading the fuels system. next item on the menu is a fuel pump. a 240 lph should be fine with an aem fuel pressure regulator. however never adjust the pressure of the fuel. keep it to stock specifications. if you increase fuel pressure it will damage the engine

  • @1PARADOXXX Thank you for the suggestion. I have been looking into upgrading the fuel system down the road. Right now on my list, I'm working on upgrading my front brake system this weekend. My bakes needed to be replaced and my rotors need to be remachined anyway so I'll do that this weekend.

  • The specs for it to plz. i have a 02 coupe honda accord special edition with a 2,3l vtec engine (automatic). want to put an intake on it.

  • @hammami101 Do you mean how much HP and Torque I've gained? If so, I have not dynoed the car yet. It needs to be tuned though. I don't plan to anytime soon. I'm still debating whether to turbo the F23A1 or swap it for a F20B or one of the "J" series engines. In my opinion, it's the best CAI I've invested. There's a difference in torque across the RPM range. When the engine hits VTEC around the 4K RPM range you get a slight boost in acceleration. See Test Run video, link at the end of this video.

  • Great video.very usefull.was wonderin wats the make of ur intake?

  • @hammami101 Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad that it may help you with your install in the future.

  • how much was that...i want to put one on my '97 accord special edition.

  • @oceanapples Mine costed $250.

  • On the website it only says for manual trans... Does it matter if I try installing it on a automatic? I have a 02 4 cyl coupe ex.

  • @jmx10 I don't know why that the V2 is for a manual transmission. I spoke to a couPlenof other people that installed it on their Automatics and haven't had any problems. That goes for me too. The only problem that I have is that can't get enough of listening to my engine hitting v-tec!

  • must i remove my resounator box????

  • @GARYIZRAW Yes, you're going to have to in order to install the AEM V2 CAI, because the CAI goes where the resonator box used to be. If you don't want to remove it, you can purchase a HAI (Hot Air Intake), AKA Short Ram intake.

  • @Leonhart306 thanx man but in my car i dont think it will go down like urs

  • @GARYIZRAW It should... Are you getting the V2 or some other CAI?

  • Great video thanks for the walk through

  • @dachiefmizzy10 You're very welcome. I tried to be as thorough as I could.

  • good Expalin

  • good Expalin

  • is that a f22b2

  • @sillyJ91 F23A1

  • Thanks for the vid man it helped

  • @InfinityGamePlayz You're welcome! I'm glad it helped!

  • how is that a cold air intake? wouldnt that just be a short ram intake?

  • @ThatPrettyBoyTj No. Look up the difference between cold air and short ram.

  • do you have a electric exhaust cutout in this video and if you do where did you weld it?

  • @jewy113092 View my channel. It's the first video you see,

  • just put the v2 on yesterday its awesome!

  • @jewy113092 Good for you man!

  • So THAT'S why my good paper scissors are so dull now!! I TOLD you before, those scissors are only supposed to cut PAPER! ARGH!! You are SO gonna get it.

    ~From Leonhart306's wife

  • @LadyAllrin I swear, Babe. I only used them to cut the plastic bag that was holding the ties and screws. That was all. I never used them after that.

  • By changing your stock intake to a cold-air-intake actually change the sound of your car?

  • @xVxRayJohnathaNxVx Yes. At the end of the video when I demostrate it. On the first rev, it's all intake and no exhaust sound.

  • i have a 2002 accord like this one but silver nice ride man!

  • @ferndawg72 You're welcome!

  • thanks for the guide I just unknowingly bought the same exhaust and have a 2000 accord Special edition as lots are wondering, where did you get the exhaust?

  • @snapkin788 My exhaust is a Varex muffler. Imported from the land down under. Check my channel I have a sound test video of the Varex muffler.

  • Lol I think I shit my pants!!! Lol

  • Hey can you send me the link of the place you got the butterfly valve exhaust for ur accord, i've been looking for the same one. thanks

  • DAMN that sounds meannnn. nice job

  • hi, would you happen to have the exact product number for this? i have been looking for a cold air intake for my accord for ages and this would fit absolutely perfect but i have no idea what prduct to buy from AEM, thanks

  • @mangomonkey278 Hi there, the product number you want is 24-6015C. If you Accord is an Automatic, it will say that it's only for manual transmission, but it can be installed onto an Automatic.

  • i wouldnt do this shit on flip flops lol but good job it sounds like a beast

  • @2fast4all thanks

  • that is deff the weirdest intake iv ever seen.you did a good job though.if i was doing it on that car i either would of fucked up or gave up

  • Question someone!!! Is it still fine if i put just a cone on it?? Do i really have to put the whole system bc right now i just have a cone on a stock hose... 1998 honda accord 6th gen

  • @Accord1998man A cone will work just fine, actually the fastest, easiest way for an intake install...

Ive tired it for a month....its so/so, I just put the stock back in with k&n filter, make my life simple.

  • I wanna try to install one of these cold air intakes on my 00 Accord SE...

  • in how long can it do from 0-60 with the intake?

  • good job man!!

  • @692fine Thank you! :-)

  • good job man

  • niceee looking headlights dude

  • How did you remove the bumper i new to this also. I have a 2000 Honda Accord Lx

  • @Crazydog500 There are series of bumper clips unde the bumper, you can remove them with a flat head screwdriver and 2x 10mm screws and last you need to use a phillips screwdriver to take out 2x screws under the fender liner from each wheel.

  • where did u buy your butterfly exhaust valve?

  • you should install the bypass valve on the intake in case you end up getting water in there.

  • @furball80 Thanks for the suggestion. I was looking at some on eBay...do you install it right by the throttle body or by the air filter?

  • @furball80 Bypass values shouldn't be used on the V2 it will mess up the intake. The V2 is a specifically designed dual chamber intake cutting it will change the lengths of the intake sections that are designed to generate more power. Look on AEM's website it says the V2 intake should not be used with a bypass valve

  • @atomicfart3514 Thank you for you input!

  • you need some rims on that car and your car would loook good

  • @ajhgfhgjbjhbjhb I hear you there. I looking to get some 18" black gloss rims with a chrome lip, but before I get the rims I want to upgrade my suspension and brakes first.

  • what is a butterfly valve exactly..? Also, i have a question.

Correct me if im wrong, the short ram intake usually still in the engine bay and the CAI go under the fender(where the stock air boxes are)? How bad will that be if its raining..?

  • @Tigerlui531

I have a remote controlled "silencer" (butterfly) valve on my exhaust so that I can run silent (for cop infested territory), moderate (for highway use), or loud(for track and freeway use).

Again, I'm still very new and I am no professional, but the short ram intakes, yes, they stay in the engine where all the heat is. The cold air intakes go under the fender where more fresh air can feed into the intake. Also, it's covered enough so the rain wounldn't touch it.

  • @Leonhart306 so i assume that u have a cat back exhaust system, would u mind tell me what kind is it?

Did you do the battery relocation?

  • @Tigerlui531 I have a Tsudo N1 Cat back system. Later on, I cut off the Tsudo muffler and bought a custom fitted muffler with a butterfly valve. I had a professional hard wire the remote controlled box to the electric system.

  • thanks for the vid. i have a 4 cylinder 98 accord that i want to do mods on, but i'm very new to the tuner business :D this will help me on my journey lol

  • @CerebralArtery You're very welcome! :-)
