Hello, again. Have you guys hear of SO2? Well it come out of you tail pipe of your car and aswell as volcanoes. Well this bonds to CO2 and well just say it make it more ozone safe. The folks here that like ethonal, well you bought into the Conspircy, Congrats to you. We sould have seperate tanks for these different gas because like diesel fuel it will not run in a car made for "GASOLINE ONLY ENGINE" cars. DUH ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Just a few weeks ago on NBC Global warming report which there was a segment talking about ethanol and how it is contributing more CO2 gas than gas fuel by it self and that it might be a mistake in using this ethonal fuel without further studies. On Cspan channel they (congress)had a dispute on the viability of corn ethonal and were considering grass made ethonal as it cleanner.

what happen to american freedom of choice? gas or ethanol I did buy a new car car it has problems too Discover magazine has a artical called The post-oil Era Begins "Jan 2009 issue" by all mean take a look.ethanol produce more C02 than gas why? it needs more fuel to run which lowers MPG, ask any car mechanic. if ethanol lowers MPG, my town honda dealer high 40% lower MPG., Nissan as 20% reported by customers..how can you save fuel by using more? my old car got 39 mpg, th new car 31 both 4cyl

The reason why 10% of gas is added to ethanol is that gas contains Hydrocarbon product-Hydrogen and carbon which allows ethanol to be in constant liquid motion and not to get frozen.Only ethanol can not be used because it will be frozen in most of cold areas, gas will be altered only when we got the replacement of Hydrocarbon product or gas.

@Goodmanstd I think what you are referring to is diesel, 100% ethanol has a freezing point of negative 175 Fahrenheit. 80% Ethanol has a Freezing point of negative 75 Fahrenheit... It never gets that cold. You can keep Vodka in the freezer without freezing and that has 40% Alcohol/Ethanol

Do you know why there is ethanol in the gas?

It's to save our air from CO2.

As long as ethanol is made from Hemp and other fast growing plants that don't directly compete with plants, grown for food it's a good solution for the climate crisis. So buy a new car or go by bus!

E85 makes sense, (E10 does not) and we strongly support switchover to E85 (Flex Fuel Vehicles); To reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil imports, which is vital to our national security and economic stability. Trade in your old car for a FFV and encourage (Gov't) to put E85 pumps (not E10) in every town.

E85 makes no sense. All you have to do is read all of the scientific studies. Only farmers and lobbyists support corn ethanol.

We the people should have a choise of what we can put in our cars, and laws can be changed

my car will not run on ethanol fuels and I cant afford a new car, not even a used one.

They are putting more ethanol %20 by 2010. They are doing this to make the OIL Last longer. Gas has been %10 ethanol since 1991 by law. Maybe it is time for you to get a new vehicle. Not to be insulting but getting a newer vehicle would be easier than getting congress to change a law. Also the Big Money companies are giving big money controbutions to get these laws written. It is big money that gets laws changed. Not needs of the people.
