And Fischer was jailed for 3 very good reasons: 1.) violating a U.S. Executive Order upholding a U.N. embargo of Yugoslavia by playing in the '92 rematch w/ Spassky; 2.) refusing to pay his U.S. taxes for 10 years; 3.) using a revoked U.S. passport in Japan in '03. Fischer, in his neurosis, thought he was above the law. Sorry. Fischer was a great chess player. But nuts.
