Lol, don't listen to this guy. Gibson Les Pauls vs Fender Strats is a matter of opinion. Plenty of great players played Strats like Jimi Hendrix, John Frusciante (RHCP), Eric Clapton, David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Kurt Cobain (Nirvana).

You did good with the solo. But try using more hammerons and pulloffs and it'll make you a lot faster. And try using a vibrato on the notes you hold, it will make them sound a lot better. :)

This solo was originally on a Fender Telecaster, a similar guitar.
