When you went in did you have permission to do so? I had heard that there was security on the grounds stopping people from going in, or did they show you around if you had a reason other than exploring?

@NotAnotherNikeTick Hiya. Yeah, we had full permission, not from security but through the owner. Only a portion of our work is paranormal, am a full time historical researcher documenting the entire Parish part of which covers the Institution from 1853 and a keen conservationalist. The site is in a very unsafe state and due for redevelopment so architects, historic scotland, planners etc are on site alot. All the buildings are being cleared for future dem/removal of woodworm

@NotAnotherNikeTick Ive heard recently that the owner has taken two individuals from two seperate incidents of access to court and successfully prosecuted them. He has to do it due to the amount of arson incidents and other criminal activity.

love this hospital all though if anyone did not know that got shut down becacuse they had ninewells hospital and if a woman went in the girls bathroom something bad happened...

@mcnaughtonjosh not been in for a wee while but got alot of pics and video when it was in better condition. Spent alot of time there and some places still have that creepy thing going on. Its a brilliant place about to be developed so only few buildings will remain but will be open on Doors Open Day in the future. Prob less creepy and youll get a good nosey! I have a few questions.

Firstly, why is there an exclusive zone of video tearing where the apparition appears? You can see both the apparition and door being warped frame by frame, while all areas around them remain intact.

Secondly, where is this figure coming from / going towards within the location?

@MDHmodder Hiya, not too sure that it is tearing - keeping in mind the file was from a digital camera and that sunlight is glaring in through the doorway the distortion is due to light reflection. One or two lines are showing on the clip although Ive now played it back a few times and seems to be more of a youtube issue - sometimes a line appears, sometimes two sometimes nil.

The figure is coming from a staircase which leads to the upper level Ward 12A and is moving towards a lift

Went there today, spooky. Absolute darkness, turned a corner and there was total silence, no birds, no wind, no rustling, nothing, like the building was holding in its breath. It was scary, alright. Knocking this down would be a tragedy, a lot of history here.

hmm maybe a woman nurse, sounded like high heel shoes (not too high heel though) I was thinking of visiting this place, is it still able to get into? Or has it got security now? And where is it??

Seems to be a female in uniform but it is possible it could be a member of the domestic team - uniforms are similar.

Its always had security, we were in legitimately and I wouldnt recommend going in. The entire site is dangerous beyond comprehension. Upper levels are caving and asbestos is rife. Mobile signals not good and without having someone with you that knows the site - accidents could be fatal.

Very lucky capture! Shame the site is now off limits due to the damage. Need to find a replacement but its just not the same.
