What brand and type of paint did you use and how well did it hold up? I want to paint my funjet so I can see it better but I am worried about the paint cracking or flaking off over time.
If i may make a suggestion, it may help you a lot if you thinned out the foam in front of the edf. From what it looks like, you do not have a great ducting setup, and a lot of the lower half of the edf is not exposed to airflow, making it useless.
In my opinion, EDF prevent potential prop striking the hand during a launch or breaking a prop on landing.Anyway, speed wise is quite fast. Good work.
Woow its a good question, i realy was tired to change props, or sofering on the bads takeoffs, this one have a gentle take off and the velocity is not to bad and the sound of duct fan like a litle jet. tks for comments.
No its not, but you have to cut out some peaces in the back of fujet, and insert carbon tubes on the base to suport duct, i use aluminium one, but carbon is bether then this. Other thing is respect the CG, wathever the final weigh. OH be carefull with angle of inclination of duct, its have to be = fuselage
I used fluorescent spray paint, these kind ( fuorescent , any ) of paint do not melt the multiplex elapor

Cut the foam more in front and under the funjet so the duct can get air from both sides, that will significantly increase your power.

seems slower than the usual push-prop.
May I ask why you decided to chose an EDF?

@Vigaloz
Was the transition/mounting process difficult?
After much thought, I'm considering using an EDF for my future funjet.
