  • Shit! Scotty's actually pretty good. He should make more videos!

  • My god you look like TJ in this video.

  • But... Fallout IS fun.

  • Scotty, your time is now, your sibling TJ whose popularity you have long envied has grown weak from the shame of the infamous banana video, you must finish him so you may absorb his life-force and ascend to youtube stardom. THERE CAN BE ONLY 1!

  • Once in a lifetime herp derp.

  • Norway says; Buy oil America, you make up half of our wallet <3 And hey, why do you buy from the saudi's if you hate'em so much? Could be buying more from us instead.. And hey, when we don't have more, Russia sure do...can't see how Russia is an enemy while Saudi Arabia is an ally. How did that happen? Sure, Putin has more power than he should, but can you really say El Sauds don't also? I'm digressing..

Anyway if I put own Norwegian oil industry job interrest aside, I'd say Scotty's right.

  • Why the fuck do you sound exactly like the Amazing Atheist? Your point is solid, but you sound like a douchebag wannabe trying to copy somebody on Youtube because they're popular.

  • The reason we do not use solar is big business with fossil fuels.

  • @PiratGeneralen Actually I think it is because we don't have the technology or know how yet to really effectively use solar power for much of anything.

  • If every...*

  • We every building/house/train covered it's roof with solar panels we would have absolutely no need for coal, natural gas, or nuclear power plants. But that'll never happen.

  • You're mine. Love you!

  • HAHA Fallout's fun! Yes it is. Yes it is.

  • Oh and on a foot note.

People are stupid ... funny thing is that everyone thinks to be part of the minority of "non stupid" ... so much to even forget to give some evidence of that ;)

  • "A natural disaster can occur anywhere, anytime".

Radiation, N.waste? As long as an earthquake can hit any place, once is done, is done.

Radiations stay for centuries, nuclear power is dangerous, it records hundreds of minor incidents every year.

"Why there are no alternative energy if they are better"

Because there are, in a growing % every year, come visit europe.

You can get energy from air and water also, and grow crops to use as fuel.

    Also please think: Corporation's interests.

  • I live in New Mexico, you know, where they made the nuclear fucking bomb, and we don't have nuclear power. Wtf is that fucking shit? I think they are currently building one or planning to build one in the future.

  • Are you one of those guys that does nothing but fill FB with statuses of stupid ass shit, stating that stupid people are stupid(duh) and there should be a legal hunting season for them? Or are you one of those people that says you hate people when it is so obvious you are one of these people that you say you hate 'cause you are a person and you hate people. See how retarded that looked? That is what your crap does to real people? Go get a hummer and simmer down.

  • They're on an oceanic island AND a fault line... It was a ticking time bomb, and it will happen again in the future as well. They were even "prepared" for it, but not for an 8.9, which rocked their shit. Nuclear power isn't bad if its generated responsibly. But placing potentially dangerous radioactive equipment in naturally unpredictable environments doesn't show much foresight in my opinion.

  • you sound like birt

  • this is the most incoherent and retarded drivel i think ihave ever heard.

  • why you have to talk about something that is miles way beyond your intleligence?

  • Did TJ lose weight? hahahahahahahahahaha.

  • @CounterStrike211 hahahaha comedian

  • When I buy a poodle that shits plutonium I'm naming him or her after you Scotty!!! :D

  • Any source sufficient enough to power humanity: solar, wind, nuclear, leprechauns...is going to be powerful enough to destroy humanity (why I support a multi-faceted approach). That's the bigger issue here: we can't move on from burning plants and animals until we get over our tribes and grow up, and I'm very skeptical about our odds.

  • You rock dude, keep these videos coming.

  • why aren't you making videos anymore?

  • jackass

  • How does it feel to be a skinnier version of your older brother?

  • As far as switching to renewables solar etc goes.Maximum profit is made by using oil. Nuclear is less polluting but is mainly popular because it can be used to make weapons. ever heard of thorium reactors? no thats because they can't be used to produce fuel for nuclear weapons.

  • So wrong. The obvious thing is.. everyones knows that nuclear reactors are potentially dangerous. So why put them in the most earthquake prone places on Earth. How stupid is that. apparently there is one in California that actually straddles the fault line. Now that shows the stupidity of people!

  • MMMMOOOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRR

  • Is pretty stupid to have nuclear reactors built over a seismic area, you have to wait between 5 or 15 years for the big earthquake, and then deal with the consequences for decades.

  • 13 people died in the Gulf Of Mexico accident. How many died in Fukushima?

  • It looks like you didnt do your research.

Solar energy and wind energy Give no profit for the corporations and the economy. Its amputating a part of the economy. Its viable and they know it thats why they fight it.

Its sad you didnt do your research.

  • So Scotty are you calling yourself smart?

  • I worked in a coal power plant for 6 months, With the right set up the emissions let out are 98% carbon dioxide which is very clean power.. so why would someone use nuclear when it creates waste that has a 4 billion plus year life time

  • You do know the actual reactor was built directly on a fault line?

  • What people need to realize that Chernobyl and Japan and long island are outliers in history about the "dangers" of nuclear power. Well Japan doesn't count because that was a natural disaster, it's like saying: don't build a skyscraper because if an abnormally strong hurricane comes along thousands of people will get crushed and way more money will be lost. The French have never had one death related to nuclear power and they get 90% of their electricity form it! They even export some out of...

  • @MacabreManifesto ...their country for profit! Plus they use a method that actually utilizes the waste and has it undergo different reactions for even more power, so in the end they have almost no waste and waste, properly dealt with causes no problems. If a company decides to dump waste, that is an economic issue, not a safety issue. Companies in almost every industry illegally dump waste for profit, that doesn't make every industry bad. We should be subsidizing solar, wind, geothermal...

  • @MacabreManifesto ...hydroelectric, tidal, and all of the renewable energy extractions because we are going to run out of oil, coal, natural gas, and even uranium. Most people don't know the scale that oil has had on our lives. Our society is built on the availability on fossil fuels from which we can extract extraneous energy. Energy-wise, we have billions of slaves working for us 24/7, with more being added every day. Not only that but oil as a physical material, is in fucking EVERYTHING...

  • @MacabreManifesto ...when we run out we are fucked! Our society would revert to basically what it was prior to the industrial revolution. So nuclear is a good place to start, it will last us until we can switch over to renewable sources if we spend resources actually trying.

  • MORE VIDEOS

  • Prove to us you are worthy of being called TJs brother by putting that goddamn shockofgod in his place.

  • Stop pretending you are smart.

TJ is smart, you are just the retarded brother....

    XD

  • @thewinebottle lost all credibility at "XD"

  • @ThePersonWhoHeckles yeah , he is ok, i was just trolling...

  • You are not your brother , you redneck piece of shit .

  • nuclear power is a terrible idea!! think of the plant that homer simpson works at

  • Most people seem to be ok with nuclear power, just so long as it isn't in their town/vicinity.

  • Awesome, glad I stayed subscribed.

  • Why the fuck are so many Canadians speaking up these days? Shut the fuck up, Canadians. No one likes you.

  • GINGERS DO HAVE SOULS.,,,, LIKE OMG <--- you

  • Agreed. And if you google "mini-nuke power" it looks to be even more promising.

Also, that haircut kind of makes you look like Michael Douglas from "Falling Down"

  • Lol we in Canada use the new model of nuclear reactors- if we have a meltdown, simply waiting on it stabilizes the situation. Not like everyone else's cheap out-dated technology that gets worse and worse the more you wait.

  • @CortexEffect94 Solar and wind power sucks. There is absolutely no way that wind and solar could support the US power grid. And the people that are telling you otherwise are living in a dream world. Onto nuclear waste. The majority of nuclear waste (about 99%) is classified as low level waste. The waste consists of caesium, strontium, europium just to name a few. Believe it or not, these materials are not nearly as toxic as what comes out of a zinc mine....Oh, did I mention Al Gore owns one?

  • This videos such a bummer.

  • If a wind farm catches on fire, will it potentially devastate the surrounding Ukraine-shaped area?

  • Great vid Scotty, make more!!

  • Why the fuck am I subscribed to this channel again?

  • You're wrong about solar and wind energy. It is actually very plausible to utilize those sources of power much more than we do, but we don't because it is cheaper to use things like oil. The only thing that holds us back from being more efficient is the middleman issue of money; not because it's not plausible.

  • What to do with the nucelar waste ? The same thing we're doing now: seal in it in the lead canistes and dump in in some deep cave with a big warning sign: STAY TO FUCK OUT FOR 300 YEARS ! What's so bad about that ?

  • I would have agreed with you before this incident in japan, but it really opened my eyes. Chernobyl is uninhabitable and will remain so for 300 fucking years. Imagine how fucked this land in japan will be. No, the consequences are far too great when a fuck up DOES occur. I would rather use only fossil fuels then have nuclear power be 20% of our energy source. Its not worth the risk just for energy. No matter the precautions we cannot rule out natural disasters interfering with shit. The Japanes

  • Wow, that was much less retarded then I expected it to be!

    Here's a gold star!

  • @tdu13

    Yawn. No. Fuck you.

  • @ThusSprachScotty Dude you just make point that everybody already knows, try and be more orignal

  • @ThusSprachScotty LMFAO! RAAAAPPPEEE

  • IT'S FUCKING SCOTTY! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Nuclear power is still here because it's surprisingly cheaper. Wind power is a fucking eye sore. Solar panels are still ridiculously expensive.

I agree with us making our own energy. It's about fucking time we started standing on our own legs rather than sucking the tit of some other country that hates our guts.

  • @Nagneto Are you kidding me? Wind power is quiet have you seen western MN tons of windmills but something else to look at other than urban sprawl.

  • @GRIM60 : Quiet yes, It Fucks up the natural scenery as well.

  • I do support nuclear, but you are dead wrong about imports. First of all, we don't generate electricity with oil anywhere in the country, most of our electricity is coal and natural gas, both of which are American produced (we don't import NG or coal). Japan has NO oil at all, they import 100% of their oil and they have a great economy, much better than ours. Oil imports aren't what is driving us into the gutter.

  • @christo930

It is true that we don't generate much electricity using oil. (Only roughly one percent) But we do import a massive amount of oil from Saudi Arabia to meet our transportation needs. Japan's economy is actually in recession right now. They have had a very weak economy since the 80's when they're real estate bubble burst and suffered through a period of deflation. Also, from a trade stand point our February trade deficit was markedly higher due to rising cost of of oil.

  • @ThusSprachScotty Japan only recently (information is pre quake) been supplanted as the second largest economy in the world. China is now second.

  • @ThusSprachScotty Japan has no such trade deficits. We were oil importers for a long time before we started having trade deficits. Our problem is that we import so much stuff all together. Importing oil and using the oil to be productive isn't a bad thing. Importing a natural resource that we don't enough of isn't a bad thing. China imports most of it's oil, but they don't seem to be doing too bad. Japan's lost decade was caused mostly by bailing out it's "zombie" banks.

  • Isn't it true that we have plenty of oil here in the U.S. but the gov't won't let us drill (on land, specifically)?

  • We just need to figure out how to contain fusion. That would be much better for everyone.

  • I guess nuclear power is a 2nd choice to the renewable energy sources like solar, tidal, wind etc (even though nuclear is more or less completely renewable considering what goes in and what comes out), but ultimately yeah, nuclear power is something we should be focusing on, if people are taking these recent events too far then why not just make them in countries where the stations won't be prone to natural disasters

  • Thumbs up if those are TJs glasses hes wearing. lol

  • Comment removed

  • friendly bit of advice which you can feel free to ignore, don't say "you know what?" so much.

  • I don't like the way you say nuke-you-lur. But I agree with you completely. Solar and wind would be ideal but they're not viable right now. The anti-nuclear sentiment also prevents older nuclear plants from being decommissioned in favor building new safer plants.

  • wind power! giant ground mounted turbines and upright circular mono-fan blades. Solar collection cells are expensive to make. The reason it doesn't exsist is because it doesn't make the rich richer.

  • Hey scotty do you like metallica? For some reason you seem like the only person in that house with a good taste in music... And I think a good way to get power would be to grind down every christian and muslim down into pure motherfucking energy and use that for the next billion years.

  • We should plaster every corner of unused land with nuclear power plants, so that we may improve the technology as well as receiving clean(er) energy.

  • The great thing about having a nuclear powered pooch is that it's lips would glow after it licked it's ass.

  • They should move all nuclear power plants to antartica. Who gives a shit bout antartica

  • Great video Scotty

  • just like old tj, theres logic behind everything u say. good job.

    /stillsubscribed

  • its about time you made a vid you scronny ferret fucker.

  • Agreed, somewhat. We don't have many other power sources that can generate electricity on such large scale, but nuclear power isn't a long-term solution either. If we only look at the present, then we're gonna be fucked later down the road. Also, nuclear power does involve the use of petroleum to create, although so do pretty much any other power sources.

  • Good video Scotty, I'm always glad to see your username pop up on my subscriptions. I think you should do it more often, but that's up to you I guess. Great topic, great points made, awesome vid all around! Hope to see more.

  • @CortexEffect94

I think solar power is ultimately the most logical solution to our energy needs. However, humans tend to think of the now and not what's going to happen 20 years down the road.

  • @ThusSprachScotty thats because most people want god to destroy the world, come down on a white horse, take them to heaven and let everything else rot...its ok as long as they get some stupid cloudy boring paradise. bleh

  • @ThusSprachScotty its also not sunny outside everyday

  • @ThusSprachScotty Want plastic?

  • Solar and wind power do exist but unfortunately for us, oil companys have the power, money and resources to stop anything threatening their profit and control dead in its tracks. Yay for capitolism.

  • @JMXification *capitalism

As in no 'o' — you're not talking about a legislative assembly, dipshit.

  • @Tsicar Thanks for the correction, professor..you kiss your mouth with that mama? :p

  • @JMXification No, but I do enjoying pounding your mum's loose poo-hole every now and then.

  • @Tsicar Perfect! So youre the one that gave her anal herpes...

  • FO EGGS

  • as long as we dont build them in california lol

  • Damn it. I'm logged in in as TAA.

  • scotty your pretty epic, you should make more videos.

  • I don't think that people are interested in advice from laymen. I understand that everyone has to have their "own opinion" of "everything", but that is an illogical distortion that needs to be grown out of.

  • @machogun

The irony of that statement is that it could be applied to the statement. I agree not everyone's opinion is valid on any given subject but regardless people are still going to speak out. Case and point: the Tea Party.

  • @TheAmazingAtheist

True. I'm speaking idealistically; I realise that the concept of "keeping ignorance to yourself" will never catch on.

Lessening the abundance of self-proclaimed experts and increasing humility would be nice though.

  • I heard it's easier to extend the lifetime of outdated nuclear plants(what happened in japan) than to build newer more reliable ones. People care less about the first, more dangerous, issue than the latter. Yes people are fucking stupid.

  • You just support nuclear power because your a communist who wants america to drown in its own nuclear waste and slowly kill itself.

  • @malidite Poe's law: even with respect to politics — it's hard to tell whether someone's a dumbass right-winger or a brilliant satirist masquerading as one.

  • @malidite

What an absurd comment. Lack of innovation is the only thing really "killing" America.

  • @malidite

America is dying whether he supports it or not, and it'll most definitely be credited to everyone who doesn't give a fuck. This man has an opinion of what should happen, maybe not the best, but it's pretty feasible. What do you suggest we do?

  • @klaytonrocks Don't jump on the amazing atheist band wagon, just because he replied to me you essentially attack me, but what you don't understand is that i was being sarcastic.....a communist really? Go look at any of Scotty's other videos and you'll see comments of me damn near worshiping him. As for the Amazing Atheist comment I think he was just poking fun... I sincerely hope he didn't take what i said to heart >.<

  • @malidite It is impossible to intentionally make a comment on youtube so stupid and/or ironic that everyone who reads it will realize you're joking. There will always be at least one person who thinks you mean it. Probably because no matter how stupid you make the comment, there's also someone on youtube who would sincerely agree with it...

  • you're welcome

  • good to have u back

  • But if we use nuclear power that means oil will go away and who will pay the politicians?!

  • Where I live, near the Atlantic region in Canada, they're beginning to think about safety precautions because there's a lot of nuclear power being used here.

  • well tacos DO rule.... . . . .

  • more nuclear power yay!!!!

  • Well if you consider how long we have nuclear power, +- 60 years, and there have already been 2 incidents with nuclear fallout you can savely say that this technology is not sustainable. We can't afford a nuclear fallout every 30 years. Those spots will be useless for longer then the human species will probably exist. If oil wasn't such a big business we would have had solar, wind, thermal, tide and wave energy for years now. People are still making too much money on oil, thats the reality.

  • @philateliceun Two accidents is nothing in a 60 year span. And you say already like this was only around for a week.

  • @ZzDe0 Well if you consider how damaging a blown up nuclear reactor is, you say nothing as if it is just a matter of cleaning the rubble and building it up again. Who is going to clean it up? The radiation is so unbelievably high that not even robots can function. Hundreds, if not thousands of people will die a slow and horrible death. Those place will be radiated for more then 10 thousand years. 30 years is a millisecond in the overall timespan of reality.

  • @philateliceun Have you forgotten the fact that it's buried in 16 foot thick containment facility?

  • Hey Scotty good to see you on this again and thanks for not apologising

  • I want pizza.

  • @ThusSprachScotty ME TOO! :)

  • @ThusSprachScotty don't we all ?

  • @ThusSprachScotty i disagree

  • @TheAnonymousShow

    Groovy.

  • @ThusSprachScotty make moar vidz

  • @ATHEISTCAVEMAN FAIL YOU FUCKING NOOOOOOB!!!! BABWBAWBAWHAWHAWHAWHWAHAWHA

  • @ATHEISTCAVEMAN You were second, dipshit.

  • @Tsicar I know :'(

  • i like turtles!

  • @weeross13 Please, die. Jonathan (the should-have-been aborted, facepaint-wearing turd from whom you quoted that insipid line) should die as well.

  • @Tsicar :) i know i just like that stupid line

  • @Tsicar just to stop people sayin ''FIRST!''

  • @weeross13

No one will ever stop saying first.

  • @TheAmazingAtheist well at least i beat them to it :)
