Right now the choppyness is gone from Plasma.
Nvidia's 180.22 drivers work perfectly with KDE4 now.
Im running KDE 4.2 RC 1 and everything is smooth as silk. No more hacks needed.

Well that sux, because most older nVidia cards can't use this driver.

They will release updates for the legacy card drivers. Count on it.
It isn't slow nor choppy or laggy on my computer :/

i dont like this, because plasma is still slow and real time resizing makes resizing very choppy and laggy
