The speakers are fine. A tesla coil used like this is essentialy a digital speaker - it's binary. It can be on and off. The different tones can only be generated by varying the time between being on and off, thus changing the frequency you hear.

If you want to make a more complex song like the Ghost Busters theme somewhat recognizable you can't do this with just two frequencies at any given time. You need the speakers.

@efterklang732 id love to say you're right but you're kinda not about the bassists....ive been a bassist for nearly 5 years now and if you listen technically the bassist leads, then the drums follw off the bass and everything else (rhythm guitar, lead guitar, piano/keyboard ect) follows off the drums.

thats why if you hear the bassist fuck up in a song the whole song normally loses track

Yes, part of the sound is done by speakers, but only because Tesla coils have trouble with chords, and this guy only has two coils, so he's limited in the number of "voices" he can simultaneously replicate.
