You should simply search what you're listening to in a better way and attempt to judge at them differently. Again, nu metal is a label, it doesn't always describe a band. Unfortunately, the term itself has had it's meaning fucked up and changed to mean something crappy, generic, and monotonous which is not what nu metal was in its purest form.
