This is a little different than the way Jimi played it but most of the notes are the same. This song cannot be played exactly like Jimi because he recorded it with 2 guitars so you have to improvise a bit when you play this song, just like this guy is doing.

It good, but it isnt really a slide, although everybody does one and it sounds better with the intro slide.

but nevertheless if you can pull off what the man showed to you, you will be able to understand the whole song much faster. playing an intro is one thing, playing a whole song goes a step further.

at least be grateful that he gives you the chance to take that step further a bit faster. he doesn't pretend to be steve vai although i think he's a good guitar player

this guy does a serious effort by posting a video like this and trying to help beginners. maybe he doesn't do it exactly like hendrix does but he helps beginners understand how the song is constructed. he explains in a clear way which chords are used, so he gives you the basics of the song, the fundaments on which it is built. of course hendrix didn't just play chords like any other person did, he was creative
