Mostly stock OM606 turbo motor with maybe just better connecting rods.

They like to rev high with Myna pump and big ass Holset. :)

I'd be curious to see how my direct injection OM602 turbo with electronic VE pump performs with modded pump and HX35. 250-300whp would be great for daily driver.

I have a 1993 Mercedes 300 D 2.5 diesel, and the car was running perfectly. I parked in the garage and the next day it would not crank. Testing showed that no fuel was reaching the injectors. I changed the prefilter and the main filter. Fuel pump tested well. shaft was turning properly, eccentric ok. rack was free, shut off working properly. Fuel into pump but not out.

Any help would really be appreciated. WILLCO

They lower compression to keep dynamic CR to reasonable level with high boosts, raising it would destroy engine.

They smoke bcause they r overfuelling- essential in diesel tuning.

A lot of work on bottom end, balance, strengthened, revving to 6000rpm they need to be.

Then big turbo lots of boost, big intercooler to make use of boost, also pumps r totally recalibrated- advance curve, fuelling, boost compensation, cam with more lift/ duration, large bore exhausts, gas flowed heads and maybe different pistons, not sure.

My information is second hand, a lot of balancing is the main thing for such high revs on a diesel, I'm guessing on the cam and head part, but I know that the turbo and intercooler r different and the pumps have been fueled up a lot, sometimes pumps need internal parts changing, but depends on the pump.

every of these pump instal 7mm liquidhead or what it called in english? 300turbodiesel 12v revs stock about 6000 rpm, so there no need to worry will it last that high rev. But that only hold about that 300kw for a bigger power these engines need to exance rod and headgasket. Stock piston last about 350kw if you drive reasonable...

Didnt have the money for it and we flat refuse to have other people do the work on the car's we own unless we HAVE to and so many places over charge for parts. I looked around for a new radiator for the 300E and it was around $300, at mercedes the SAME radiator made from the SAME company was like $450+ labor...Keep in mind that replacing a radiator is super easy,Even my grandmother could do that If she could stand that long.lol. Well I hope that 300E isnt my last one I really liked that car.
