  • Thank you sooo much i needed this exact scene for my media analysis project!!!

  • No, we just sigh and recognise another dork who's never getting laid unless he pays for it.

  • this show is far superior to that overrated sopranos mess!!!!

  • also put in the description that phil abraham from the sopranos is cheif of photography he makes the sets look exactly like the sopranos

  • yes, this office from 1960, looks just like Tony's home in the 2000s.

    you genius.

  • I wish technology were still easy enough for women to use. At least twice a day (that's a bare minimum), some woman will ask me what the "Internets" are, and if I can show her how to use them.

Don't get me wrong, I think women are adorable, it's just frustrating sometimes how they have trouble grasping basic concepts, like computers or irony.

  • Clearly misogyny still lives on.

  • I hear ya man! I constantly had to help womens with the interwebs too! I feel your pain!

  • Are you kidding me? We're "adorable"? Since when can sweaty, greasy-haired nerds treat women like puppies?

  • You claim 'women' don't know technology, and then claim a 'WOMAN' will ask you what the 'Internets' are.

So I don't know if you are stereotyping US adorable women because of one woman.

Oh and I know men who don't know how to use the internet either. What's that mean?! Does that mean what I think it means? That there might actually be some men and women who don't know how to use the internet, while there are some men and women who do?!

    Please don't judge women. Pig

  • ...want to reconsider these stereotypes you have about women not grasping basic concepts.

  • Hopefully it'll be easy enough for a woman to use the technology.

  • I think Joan is georgeous!

  • Oh, comment "pending approval". I guess that means you won't tolerate it.

  • Actually, as I mentioned in the comments on the front page, I depend on notification from Youtube to alert me to all the new comments each day (since there are dozens) - and sometimes it doesn't alert me to comments at all. I have no record of you trying to post a previous comment (let alone rejecting it) so feel free to repost it - but if you think it's something that won't be "tolerated" per the guidelines on the front page, chances are I won't accept it.

  • well put. i agree. nostalgia does cover up the bad.

  • If one were to live in the '60s I bet it was just like we live now. Not a big deal. The only difference is that we've made technological progress. People are the same.

  • you know thats a good point. its hard because we imagine the 60s in black and white pictures. i bet they thought they invented sex, or they were the "it" generation, and had technological breakthrough, or had crazy conspiracy, and so on.

  • Same for guys. For the gals, this show looks like some dimension of hell.

  • I'm a girl and I adore this show.

  • Kind of interesting to look at this and to see where Peggy and Joan are now.

  • Huh, I never this before, but Liz Moss is a fellow southpaw. Awesone!

  • my god, finally a woman with hips!...hardly see any actresses at all these days except if their narrow with implants..salute to you girl, from a 48" hippy chick

  • I know, right!

  • AGREED.

  • i wish i could watch the first episode. i never got to see it.

  • This could be the best show ever made. Im an Art Director in an Agency and I wish it was like this. I spend most of my time looking at my copywriters doe eyes or my crappy computer. Spend the rest of my 12 hour workday trying to find a way to make you people buy THIS car instead of THAT one.

  • is this the beginning of episode 1?

  • joannie rules too..............

  • i love those timemarks in this movie. amazing work

  • "....But the men who designed it made it simple enough for a woman to use."

This just enrages me for some reason, it also shows how much more equal men and women are compared to before.

  • That's sort of true- but don't forget that this show (like most historical shoews/movies) are shown from a modernist revisionist point of view. When you look at old movies, they're definetely sexist, but not as much as that comment. 'Before' wasn't as bad as people think it was- and in 50 years, people will think the same thing about us.

  • It's interesting because for the most part one would view this time period as much more innocent than the time we live in today. And I suppose in some ways it was. But in others it was a lot worse. It's bizzarre.

  • Many former art directors from this time period have said that such blatant sexism would have gotten any man tossed out on his ass.

Also, considering it's a female who said that to another one, even such a line were real, I doubt she was speaking entirely sincerely.
