My parents had the soundtrack to the London stage version of Cabaret, with Dennen as the MC, and he's absolutely fekkin' glorious -- manic and sinister, utterly bizarre. Joel Grey was a disappointment after that, and I as a 10 year-old I was fascinated by this ball of energy. I wrote to him c/o Actors Equity and asked for his autograph, but I never heard back.

Hikaru Sulu is a fictitious character in the TV show Star Trek. The person who plays it, George Takei has recently come out of the closet. I'm bi, by the way. Gay people do marry people of the opposite gender for various reasons, eg. to fit in, to fool others, to try to "cure" themselves (doesn't work), to please others (bad move). When you consider all the opposition towards those who are gay, you can see why some want to pretend they're straight. A shame.
