  • Play "peace" by paul kelly in the background

  • angerfist makes it sound sooo evil haha

  • Brilliant display of cynically manipulative populist demagoguery.

De rigeur for any aspiring would-be "statesman."

Great acting. And lest we forget that actors don't make it up as they go along, great writing.

  • @thechinadesk wow you sound pompous.

  • @thechinadesk wow...hilarious..using my name... **yawn**

  • Classic!!!

  • I have seen this movie...a great one...pacino was impeccable...I dunno why movie didn't do well both commercially n critically

  • 03:25 Angerfist <3

  • What an amazing actor!

    I was driven to tears.

  • raise your thumbs for Angerfist!

  • 3:34-4:05 Motivates me to a level so deeply. I take things deeply too, I view the "Sheep being hearded to the final slaughter house" as failing in succeeding. It's hard to, but whenever you think you can't do something or give up, think of what's going to happen to you in the future. Are you going to be successful? Or are you going to be a sheep being herded to the final slaughter house?

  • i made a similar speech about my ballsack once...

  • one take, amazing

  • i like him when he start yelling

  • Al Pacino chose the wrong career !

he should be the president of the USA.

man, he can start a world war one day and end it the next day and start another one whenever he wants just by his speech power !

  • Goosebumps all the way!!!

  • only this man can delivered a speech like this..

scent of a women, the insider, devil's advocate and any given sunday...the legendery continues...

  • I choose fight

i choose to rise up, not fall

I choose to live, not die

  • what is the gospel tune at the start of this, and where can I find a hundred more like it.

  • Fuck me, I got pumped up watching this scene.

    Al pacino is god.

  • is this a religious movie? is it good?

  • I like this movie, I love Pacino as a mayor, but this speech was a plain bullshit

  • If you've seen City Hall you'd know that this speech isn't sincere. It's a political speech, meant to win support. Ultimately the mayor isn't willing or able to carry through his promises. That's why Pacino delivers it in a way that isn't totally convincing. It's a superb bit of acting.

  • I CHOOSE TO FIGHT BACKKKKKK

OMG THAT'S GREAT I FEEL POWER

  • angerfist - choices..... ahhh thanks for posting, wondering where it was from! :)

  • al pacino,a mayor?i like that...

  • what an splendid actor...

  • Pacino for president

  • I'm a bit reminded of what President Obama said about the little girl who was killed in that senseless tragedy in Tucson - that America had to live up to the pure dreams and expectations of a slain child.

  • @archangel357 except obama sucks and has little passion in his speaches.

  • this speech only took him 1 take....wow

  • @pablomasterj have you seen And Justice for All... ? the very last scene, when he gives a powerful speech, he made in the first take.. apparently it was the first of the movie.

He is just such a great actor!

  • from 3:44 :)

    Luna & Crypsis - Choices

  • Out Standing !

  • Why is it that since "Scent of a Woman" in almost every Pacino film there has to be this special, crucial part of the movie where Pacino gives his authoritative/motivational speech (City Hall, Devil's Advocate, Every Given Sunday to name the few). The guy became a joke. Every impersonator has his "favorite Pacino impression" precisely for this reason. I so much more liked the simple lines such as "Attica! Attica!" or "Say hello to my little friend" than these obligatory speeches.

  • @miljenko1 hahaha on the nose miljenko, on the nose. It kind of gets old after hearing the same general ideas - save this boy! live not die! - but i guess it's just what he does best

  • i hate how black people always respond with "that's rigghtt, yes we can" etc etc when someone's givin a speech. STFU and let the man talk...and its not even like they believe in anything they just wanna move their fuckin mouths. tha'ts why they're doomed to a life of struggle and crime

  • @Superboy316KING Uhh dude it's a movie... Dont' use a scene from a "FICTIONAL" tale as an excuse to espouse your pedestrian bigoted intellect, narrow minded ppl such as yourself will use anything to spew their venomous point of view, even if they find a million examples to the contrary of their belief system, they will still find a way to breathe life into their delusion, you are such a person my friend.. Get a life or get a knife and cut your uselss throat.

  • @junya74 oh please man...you see this type of shit in real life too.

WTF do i care anyways...I only watched this video cause of Al Pacino. You people can continue to live in the gutters

  • @Superboy316KING, you represent typical ANGLO HYPOCRISY I took a look at your page and you have all this existentialist rhetoric about 'expanding your awareness' and the INFINITE SELF" LOL and yet you come on here spitting myopic venom from the most ignorant and bigotted point of view. Interesting. Doesnt sound like your mind has expanded much. Maybe you should spend a whole night in the Barnes & Noble SELF HELP SECTION and read on how to rid ya self of delusional racism. its 2010 wake the effup

  • @junya74 loolll me and my brother use the same laptop.

  • @Superboy316KING

What you are saying is so freaking true

it's also funny as hell too in a way

it's like their culture or something

    god knows xD

  • angerfist - choices

  • A Legendary man

  • the greatest!

  • i wish al pacino could give me a motivational speech anytime i feel down. :)

  • @roxy6391 LOOOOOOOOOL

  • @roxy6391 me too! haha

  • Whenever I get down and need motivation, I watch this movie segment. I love the line-- "I will go down that way". I choose to fight back. I choose to rise, not fall" " And I know what's within me is within you." Great stuff.
