  • Brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beatifully played! Lots of music in there!

  • I love this interpretation !!

  • A WONDERFUL performance, pianistically and MUSICALLY!

    My sincere congratulations,

    Geert Dehoux, pianist.

  • Best interpretation of this etude i´ve heard. Brava! Giulietta.

  • this is the most wonderful rendition of this Study I've ever eard...and I listened to quite a few !

Giulietta beatifully "pulls out" the music which remains so often hidden in many interpretations of this Study. Her rubatos are just absolutely relevant, her pianissimos are also just great (and, by the way, much more difficult to achieve with such a limpidity than the mezzoforte that so many other (even very good performers) keep as the "bottom line".

Giulietta you are a wonderful pianist !

  • 少しうすいですが美しいです。この調子でもっと頑張っていきましょう!

  • Bonkers brilliant

  • She plays this well, but if you want to see a rather special version check out Svietoslav Richter giving it some welly...

  • /watch?v=7XX538sybMU plz jst watch

  • what's with the proliferation of super hot chicks who are monsters on the keys?

  • To all godly and humble critics, I have one omnipotent question: Who is playing the piano? ☼♥☼

  • @racingracing Exactly. While I don't care for a few things she does, I know that she's capable of playing it whatever way she wants. That she plays it the way she does is by her own choice, not lack of ability, and I respect her right to play it as she pleases.

  • мм...какая девушка...)еще и Шопена играет))))

  • O-O lol

  • @koalaswrath As for Maestro Kissin, I'm a great admirer.

  • @floydrharper - You and me both. I saw him Live. Awesome!

  • @koalaswrath Perhaps you should read more carefully. I only commented on how quickly she went to the keys ( to substantiate my point, I timed Kissin, Valentina and this woman and I was correct..on average). I find discussions about who's the greatest to be pointless, particularly for performers I haven't heard in person. I know Valentina and Di Wu pretty well and nothing pianistic seems to be beyond them, but I've seen each of them perform brilliantly and not so brilliantly.

  • Wouldya?

  • Well, certainly no ordinary pianist can even play this. I have never seen someone's hands go so quickly to the keys...not even Kissin!!

  • @floydrharper What? Pretty girl's got you mesmerized. Talented as she is, she's far from being in Kissin's league. You want to see fast check out Katsaris, Czifra, Hamelin, Gibbons... Kissin! Hell, Lang Lang!!! You want a pretty girl, you have to see Valentina Lisitsa's skills. Ms. Koch is still a diamond in the rough. She's probably still a student. I can't believe you compared her to Kissin.

  • LOl i like how she emediately played it without waiting for the clap to fade..LOL

  • Two subtleties I absolutely love about her playing:

    Physical Performance 1:07 measure 42

She brings out the climax of Chopin's accented contrary motion in measure 42 with her head in a professionally appealing manner.

1:37-1:42 measure 63-66. Rubato brings out intriguing phrasing in the LH that leads very nicely into the climax at 1:49, measure 70 into 71.

Compare her treatment to that of Vladimir Horowitz' @ 1:02 and 1:34 respectively.

  • aaaaaawsam

  • brava

  • she is just playing. no feeling. she doesnt REALLY put herself in the music. seen better, heard worse. ***

  • I didnt like that, when she sat, write after that she began to play. Anyway, well playing

  • I can't imagine how anyone could insult this! To play this piece at all is an amazing accomplishment in itself. I think it was played beautifully with passion and precision. Well done!

  • wow at 14 sec sudden surge in speed

  • The piece controls her. It should be the other way around.

  • @3screamingkids That's absolute nonsense. Whatever you think of her performance decisions, she is doing exactly what she wants to do with tremendous security and finesse. She is in full command. She plays like the pro she is (and I don't know her, never even heard of her), certainly NOT like a student. You are right about only one thing, she's no Martha. There is only one Martha. Is no one else supposed to play at all?

  • She's no Martha. She looks and plays like a student. No presence.

  • LIKE THE FIST OF AN ANGRY GOD.

  • damn this chick is on fire. im totally diggin her chopin

  • good.....

  • I love how musical it is!

  • you are incredible!*---*!<3 and suuüpersweet outfit i want this tooooo!!!!

  • immense!!!!

  • Brilliant.

  • Bravo!!

  • какая импрессия! люблю твое исполнение!

  • i love this girl

  • in my town (Roma) we say: mecojoni!!!!

    it means WOW!!!!

    shining piano!!!

  • let me guess. Roma stands for Rome

  • nothing to guess buddy, Roma is Roma!

the foreign people call my Town Rome, but since it was founded (April 21st 753 Before Christ) her name is always the same: ROMA!!!!

  • @accuruneide actally roma is a city... not a town

  • I'm sorry, you're right. you know I am italian, I speack italian portugues, spanish france and Latin too... and right now a very poor english... forgive me my ignorance teacher,

    BUT

do not forget one thing: WHEN YOU WRITE THE NAME OF ROMA REMEMBER TO DO IT WITH CAPITAL "R", thak you.

  • Ok... so I rewrite my comment:

Actually, Roma is a city, not a town.

and I SPEAK (not speack) Italian too...and Spanish, French, English, Croatian, Slovene and a bit of Latin...

  • rimani sempre il coglione di sempre!

  • sono una donna... cretino

  • prendila come un assegno di parita'... la ricercate tanto la parita' dei sessi no? eccoti servito: coglionE

  • thank you very much mr. accuruneide

i will take this as a hysteria attack because you are so depressed of not being a woman...

and I want you to be concerned, because if you treat women like this you won't go far in your life...

maybe is the fact that you haven't got a woman the reason of your depression? because if i't like that you should consult a psychologist (or maybe a psychiatrist) and he or SHE will find a solution to your existential problems

  • next time you have to learn to do your business, meanwhile touch your mother, she is cold!

  • haha you even don't know English... I'm laughing myself off because of your stupid comments

  • if you are happy for my poor english keep smiling.... you told me you know Latin, well read this and merry christmass culture-man: "Risus abundat in ore stultorum".. and touch your mother, is cold!

  • Merry Christmas also to you... and I will surely keep laughing!

  • yes yes but touch your mother, is cold!

  • @stefiashley

¿Por qué se pelean? Es tan sólo un comentario.

  • you look so pretty!! good performance...

  • Sometime it just feels so good to have some DRAMA!!!! Perfect interpretation.

  • very nice, good technique. I think people underestimate how difficult this etude is; it's easy to play this badly but very hard to play it well. Musically, I didn't like the rubato in a couple of places but I guess that was just spontaneous. Btw, why the redistribution of notes at the end?

  • I find it a bit too heavy at some parts. Other than that, it's quite nice.

  • LOVE IT!!

  • not bad,but if you want to see a very good version of this piece then take look on Valentina...

  • Valentina is amazing, how old is she now?

  • somebody tell me where does this damn talented girl live .. i'll marry her even it will cost me an arm and three of my legs *__^ GIRL YOU ROCKKKKKKK

  • lol, dude, total respect! if it cost your third leg, what's the point of marring her! lol

  • LOL

  • @Mahmoudness she has a website

anyways i can see limitations to her playing but its VERY high level already. congrats to her

  • Hey girl. You are so beauty and u play very well! I like it!!! Kisses

  • Can't really hear the melody at times...But well done though.Just need to polish up a bit.

  • I think this etude should be played a bit faster, like Kempf.

  • She is a very talented pianist, and she definitely plays this excellently. My only complaint is that the melody is being lost in the accompaniment and is not distinctive enough.

  • good performance

  • actually, i like her rendering best

  • una luisa cualquiera

  • THE BEST CHOPIN OP.10 NO.4 !!!

  • i personally like freddy kempf's version of this better.

  • @ChildOfFury at 1:51 her rubato makes it seem like slow down

  • @ChildOfFury I like chopin's version

  • @ChildOfFury , nobody is asking your preference!!..good play giulietta!!

  • @hiddenrivals Well I have the right to voice what ever I want to...so I dont need your permission to state my opinions.

  • @ChildOfFury

yeah. i love freddy kempf's version so muchh better. <3

but it's just the acoustics are throwing me off here.

  • @Duskaholism OMG I KNOW WHO U R.

  • i think soooo!!!

  • shes hot

  • Played with such dynamism and subtlety. Awesome indeed!!!

  • woah

  • no wonder its a encore

  • That's such a pretty dress.

  • lol hardly the bigger picture :P

  • Me encanto tu final, talves un poco menos libre, exelente sonido tienes mucho talento mucha suerte!!

    ATT:Anthony Tamayo

  • She is FANTASTIC!!!

  • she over does her rubato, changing the mood and style of the whole piece. Excellent performance tho.

  • @elieltanr , I like that about her performance. It seems to sing more. I like her performance on this peice over than some of my favorite pianists, save horowitz, which is absolutely phenomenal.

  • @hermease then again, to each his own, personally, i'd like a steadier tempo and rhythmn to this particular etude. Rubato is just the elastic extension of not value, but must be compensated by the other notes within the bar. Too much rubato, and writing the piece another note value would save us all the trouble. Thats what I think about it.

Anyone can be a virtuoso with sheer practice, but those with musicality, appropriate interpretation and technique are rare.

  • @elieltanr

I don't think she 'over does' the rubato.

  • @elieltanr I agree with you completely. With most studies, if one were going to perform it, one would have to make it a bit more exciting, rather than just keep it as a technical exerciseThis, however, is a little too much. She still has a very delightful interpretation and technical skill. Chopin himself couldn't help but pour his genius into something as bland as studies. To me, it is the apotheosis of frenzied emotion.

  • @marklaidlaw1993 To me, interpretation of a piece requires one to understand a composer's point of view and appropriate the performance of the piece. even then there are marks of an individual's perspective and character that defines one from another. Not just for the sake of performing something in a 'different' way, and not sound 'cliche', but to justify a piece in its own right.

    God Bless

  • Wow,fantastic.

  • She's really good, but those little additions she put in went a little too far and sorta changed the peice, not to my liking. Overall, though, she's very, very good.

  • hahaha, what additions would those be, exactly?

  • Her small variations to tempo, and things like that. Those were taken a bit too dramatically.

  • Ok, never mind. Since you don't really hear anything I'm not going to bother hahahaha.

  • WOW! to be such a great pianist at her age..

  • marvelous!

  • Wow, how ofter do you see such control and expression and "the right tone", all at once? She knows how to dose things so she does not have to work to hard to make the forte sound contrasted and impacting.

    Thanks a lot for sharing!

  • WOW !

  • Bravo Giulietta Koch. ez ji te hez dikim.

Bravoooooooo Giulietta Koch, I love You.

    Sipas jibo weşana vê vîdiyoyê.

    Thanks for sending this Video.

  • It's either too much petal, or the camera has really bad quality, but I really liked her dynamics.

  • i think you chat shit....35-45 is in perfect timing!

  • I think she added some unnecessary rubato to this piece tooo...

  • I really agree with you

  • I really like her interpretation of this piece. The next Chopin Etude I am going to learn could be this one. I just finished Etude Op.25 No.12. Look at my channel for my vids

  • Yeap. I´m not a pianist, but can actually hear something out of order in 0:24.

  • jsut her art i like the part very much!!

  • who are you to say that she sucks... sure she makes mistakes.... all humans do unless you thin your god blaspheming bitch

  • I don't think she sucks... It is a very common problem, but I think it's from the pressure of the audience, and the fact that she's kind of rushing... you shouldn't be rude and say that she sucks. She probably worked really hard on the piece.

  • Bravo!!!!

  • Tied with Richter for best ever.

  • I like your original interpretation!

  • perfect

  • what a difficult etude =/

  • Very feminine haha. V. nice!

  • I want a girlfriend like she

  • i too...

  • awesome.

  • why got reduction in tempo in some parts..???

  • It's called art,....bonehead

She happens to be very good at it

And where is your music video?

    Get out of here, amateur

    Learn English

    :)

  • wow, loose canon, very vulgar. if that's what u call 'pro-English' then i wouldn't wanna be in ur league. btw, I purposely wrote my sentence that way, not becuz I'm a dumb-ass in English. and FYI, this piece by chopin is supposed to test how fast a pianist can go... i knw its art, but did u even knw the story behind this piece?mmm..... no doubt, a loosecannon indeed...

  • Nah ah !

Try Valentina Lisitsa and Richter interpretation lol

  • both amazing, but you forgot Peter Jablonoski

  • This gives me goosebumps

  • nice job! it was awesome!!

    i loved it!

  • you are amazing!!

  • Nice Skirt. But Richter would look better in it. ;)

I find it strange to compare pianists like hell. I mean especially from recordings especially on Youtube. "Richter is better"... uh... *shake of the head*

Why J. Kaiser don't likes Richters Chopin? ;)

  • very nice!!! strange fingering at the begin of the final arpeggio at the end. but very good.. the acoustic howevers it's very wet, but it has nothing to do with the perfomer

  • nice but nothing can compares than Sviatoslav Richter, the Real Great "Virtuoso Master Piano"

Ta bien pero nadie puede compararse con Sviatoslav Richter, el gran y real "virtuoso maestro del piano"

  • oh i would never want to compare myself to richter! he is really fantastic in this one...

  • Isn't this piece legendary for tempting pianists to play as fast as they can? Great performance...not a single note left under the piano! Best wishes to you in your career. Ever perform in America?

  • what a useless comment.

  • anyway this one was for "dragonsol1", I don't know why it appears as an answer to Tolstoy111...

  • BRAVO!!

  • LOVE HER!!!! love her love her love her! ! !

  • excelente

  • Your way cute girl I dont know what I like better your dress or the music, put it together you got YOU

  • technically perfect yes , but Horowitz's version is RLY better

  • uh, another one.

  • Yeah what's the point of those comments? It's telling some writer that Shakespeare is better.

  • happy to see someone understood what I meant.

  • perfect

  • Very, very impressive. I enjoyed that very much.

  • How old is she??? I would like play as she.

  • 18, today 19

  • love it!

  • That first violinist is lucky to be so close to her.

  • I agree

  • This woman truly is something to behold to my eyes my ears and my heart truly an intelligent and beautiful young woman Giuletta Koch remember the name.

  • really awsome skill...

wish i had my own little mini piano player like that

  • she looks like my ex gf sakshi kaul, cept with 100% more talent

  • F A N T A S T I C ‼ ♥ girl
  • I'd love to play it just like you!

  • Bravisimo!!

  • i am stunned with how smoothly the core of her body moves to produce that mesmerizing sound.

  • she looks as cute as the music softness lol it goes together

  • you cant develope strenth , speed and contrl only at the piano !!!

  • A parte de ser una mujer hermosisima... tambien es una gran pianista... la mejor interpretacion del etude op.10 No.4 ... FELICITACIONES!!!! Che Dio ti benedica tanto tanto!!!

  • Very good! Although i think she uses a bit too much rubato sometimes. It has to be played like blasted furiously out of a cannon!

  • you call it rubato.. but imo she can't play it faster

  • Best interpretation i've ever seen.

  • She has so much control!

  • young and talented kk

  • and SEXY!
