@paqman78 Yeah, the kit's plugged straight into the camera. Basically the CD player is plugged in to the drums and the drums are plugged in to the camera. It'll take a few times to get it right but keep trying.

Dude, that's pretty amazing. I wanted to ask if you have a certain method for transcribing these songs? I've found its tough to hear Jimmy's drum parts over the guitar fuzz sometimes but you seem to be very accurate on everything

I just love each of these videos! I have one question though, a friend of mine has an electronic drum kit similar to yours and I was curious as to what "sound" you have the drum kit set to. Thanks a lot. To be honest I don't really use a pre set drum kit. I kind of modify all the different sounds until I like what I hear. So it's really just a case of messing around with it until it sounds how you want it. Thanks again

Nice work! At the risk of saying rudiments aren't important, they aren't required. Jim Chapin mentions that some of the greatest drummers are suburb musicians behind the kits but really can't play the drums (technicals). Their technique is sounding really good and having tons of fun which Jim feels is most important! Wise words from a drum technician!

I just love each of these videos! I have one question though, a friend of mine has an electronic drum kit similar to yours and I was curious as to what "sound" you have the drum kit set to. I don't know what kind his is or if they will even have the same sounds, but I would like to know for when I go over there and drum! Thanks! :)

Thanks a lot. To be honest I don't really use a pre set drum kit. I kind of modify all the different sounds until I like what I hear. So it's really just a case of messing around with it until it sounds how you want it. Thanks again

Oh cool, thanks a lot. Glad you like it. Although don't rely on rudiments too much. I never bother with them. I just play along to as many songs as I can and just have fun. If practice is boring, then I don't wanna know. Thanks again

Nice work! At the risk of saying rudiments aren't important, they aren't required. Jim Chapin mentions that some of the greatest drummers are suburb musicians behind the kits but really can't play the drums (technicals). Their technique is sounding really good and having tons of fun which Jim feels is most important! Wise words from a drum technician!
