Ruger single action revolvers are great . I own an older Vaquero .357 magnum with the heavy frame and a Single Six .22 caliber. They are a joy to shoot.
Most all single actions will require some modification for bird's head grips. In the case of the pistol, the frame extends to the base of the stock grips. Putting bird's head grips would require molding the frame to the same shape.
im thinking of getting a that same model, just wondering if i should get that as my first gun? Also can you fire that with one hand and also is it a 357 also chamberd for a .38 special. Any info would help thnx.
you have to get a vaquero specifically for .357 if you want to shoot 2 calibers.
the caliber .357 and .38 special are of the same width (but not the same length) so you would be able to fire both of them in one gun which is a big plus.
