In the actual marvel comics his eyes can actually change like that. His eyes glow red whenever he charges energy to something. He changes his eyes to normal mode whenever needed.
I prefer him with his black and red eyes ;) it makes him unique.
i'm kinda glad his eyes were normal when he and rogue first saw each other up close. if i had been rogue and seen him with red and black eyes for the first time i would've screamed! lol i love his red and black eyes too, but its definately something that you have to get used to. . .
only thing I don't like about this gambit is the moe haircut. other than that he's awesome. he'll always have that badass aura around him that you just can't help but love him.

Remy had to tie Rogue up on the train becuz he did his homework:-P he knew that as soon as she woke up she'd be mad as hell and try to toss him right off that train. and plus he didnt want to hurt her by trying to defend himself so it was really for both their safety:-)

He's Cajun. Some people New Orleans come from French heritage, but was born in the south, mostly in Louisana in the New Orleans area. But yes. Because he's cajun. He can speak fluently in french.

ok i know ppl are gonna disagree with me, but i have to say it: i like this version of Gambit better than the one from the original cartoons 1, he doesnt refer to himself in 3rd person. 2, his accent isnt exaggerated like it was before (he's Cajun, not French, there's a difference) and 4 the record, in Evo he was only in about 6 or 7 episodes. i think if the show had ran longer we would've gotten to see his character evolve more, kinda like how Rogue did. he seems alot smarter in this one too
i am huge gambit fan but the 90's gambit has a better costume, face, charm, eyes, hair,fighting style and most of all accent. if you haven't seen the 90's gambit check him out

i dont think Gambit ever was really a villain in Evolution (or at least, i dont think he was evil), i mean yea he fought for the wrong side, but according to what i've read about the situation, he was getting paid to do so. as soon as the money quit coming in, he ditched the job. Gambit kinda reminds me of Jack Sparrow: he's not the good guy or the bad guy, he tends to just wing it or either does whatever he pleases, i think thats why i love him so much <3
Like I said, I think it was done on purpose, as he was charming Rogue. Hypnotic Charm, and all that. I think his eyes being normal was a way to show what he was doing. Plus, when they show the side-shot of him facing Rogue, they're still normal. Knowing the animators, if it was a mistake, it would've been fixed in the next shot in that scene. Their mistakes tend to me quick second shots, anyway. Like once, Rogue was shown not wearing a glove tossing a water bottle, but it was only for a second.

I agree, their voices are really good in the evolution series. I think the art is nice for the evolution series too when compared to the new wolverine and the x-men series. I hate what they did to her hair now even though I'm glad they're edging towards the original rogue and getting away from her being the reserved pale face girl. Even if it is at a glacial pace.

I think at the end he was going to leave her for Kitty. ^_^ iceman isn't Gambit, who can tolerate her power. Iceman just tried to find ways around it. -_- I hope in the future moves they give them more of a chance.
Well in the third X-Men movie, we all see Iceman developing a closer relationship with Kitty, and growing apart from Rogue. And even though Rogue had taken the cure, you can see the disappointment in Iceman's face in the end of the movie. So maybe that's a sign that Iceman and Rogue are slowly coming to an end, and making room for Gambit. If they make a 4th X-Men movie...which I doubt they will, that would be perfect timing for Gambit to make his appearance.
Fun idea. He'd be considerably older than her since he appeared in the Wolverine movie, but they did that in the Ultimate series too, and it worked pretty well. As long as they're both adults. :)
That's true too. But as we see, Logan was obviously a lot older than Rogue was in the movies. But she slowly adapted to adulthood and seemed mature up to his level in the third X-Men film...almost. And in the X-Men Origins movie, Logan looked a lot older than Gambit...and he probably was, so basically Logan is much older than the both of them. So if we do the math, even though Gambit and Rogue may have a huge age difference, it may still work out with both of them being adults.

his real name is Remy LeBeau, in the original series Gambit calls Rogue "chéri", and Rogue calls Gambit "Remy".

I agree, their voices are really good in the evolution series. I think the art is nice for the evolution series too when compared to the new wolverine and the x-men series. I hate what they did to her hair now even though I'm glad they're edging towards the original rogue and getting away from her being the reserved pale face girl. Even if it is at a glacial pace.

I love Gambit! And I love Rogue! The only thing I dont like about the Rogue in the evolution edition is that her look is so punk and emo!! :(

Interesting that he has "normal" eyes (brown on white) in the one scene and his usual black and red eyes in all the others!
I've got to admit I don't care for Remy's haircut in this. It reminds me of Guy Gardner's bowl cut. Good voice, though.

Love them but hate her stupid hair hanging in her face! Why did they draw Rogue like that? Remy on the other hand is delicious, love his voice and the way he articulate himself especially while saying cheri.

he kidnapped her becuz he wanted her to absorb info from the guy who took his father in order to find him. he falls for her at the end as u can see.
i guess if he wanted he could rape women. in addition to charging objects with kinetic energy, he's able to put u in a hypnotic trance. there's more about him in the comics and the old x-men cartoon. he's more of a ladies man.the ladies come to him lol so he dont need tht ability hehe. he used to hit on rogue alot and they fall in luv later on.

I think at the end he was going to leave her for Kitty. ^_^ iceman isn't Gambit, who can tolerate her power. Iceman just tried to find ways around it. -_- I hope in the future moves they give them more of a chance.

Well in the third X-Men movie, we all see Iceman developing a closer relationship with Kitty, and growing apart from Rogue. And even though Rogue had taken the cure, you can see the disappointment in Iceman's face in the end of the movie. So maybe that's a sign that Iceman and Rogue are slowly coming to an end, and making room for Gambit. If they make a 4th X-Men movie...which I doubt they will, that would be perfect timing for Gambit to make his appearance.

Fun idea. He'd be considerably older than her since he appeared in the Wolverine movie, but they did that in the Ultimate series too, and it worked pretty well. As long as they're both adults. :)

That's true too. But as we see, Logan was obviously a lot older than Rogue was in the movies. But she slowly adapted to adulthood and seemed mature up to his level in the third X-Men film...almost. And in the X-Men Origins movie, Logan looked a lot older than Gambit...and he probably was, so basically Logan is much older than the both of them. So if we do the math, even though Gambit and Rogue may have a huge age difference, it may still work out with both of them being adults.
