The Twin Towers were not good architecture, and the only people who really miss them are usually hyper-patriots or people who have never visited a city and have no idea what this horrible skyscraper architecture did to the city skyline and the streets below (see the Twin Towers Alliance Facebook group). You guys need to move past your feelings and understand that the WTC was not nearly as amazing you guys like to imagine it is, and that we are getting something much better now.
Nothing can ever replace the WTC World Trade Center (Twin Towers). If anyone would even TRY to hurt these beautiful structures, than fuck them. The day of 9/11 was definetly the WORST attack of history. Those innocent lives that witnessed the attack should have never been killed. I always cry whenever I watch a 9/11 video. The rooftops had access contrary to what has floated out there on the internet, there are videos of people on top of the towers on 9/10/01 as tourist videos.

They were majestic, powerful, hypnotic. Just bold towers and I photographed them every chance I got. Miss the way it looked, 10 years later my hearts still go out to those victims and their families. I was up there on Sept 16, 01. Just surreal looking at the devistation. I parked near Church and Canal St..about 5 blocks north, As I walked back I found a torn beat up damp "WTC Observation Deck" stub..wasnt burned. I still have it.

@redilliop Im not seeing the point. The Petronas Twin Towers are just as Tall. And as far as the design goes im sure they were not planning on jet airliners crashing into them. There were two 110 floor buildings to maximize office space. IF there was only one then that would be half the office space. What did you want them on the other side of the city from each other? 10 years. so sad. I remember when I was sitting on the floor with my friend playing with legos, when my mom turned on the television. The pictures of the buildings burning, and people jumping out is just terrifying. Back there I was only 8 years.

People care for both. Obviously the loss of the people is a massive tragedy - but nonetheless those Towers were not just buildings, they stood for something far more than that. They were and are a landmark to this day, and a symbol of what was once America's unchallenged wealth and power. Now, it's just a horrible distant memory, but those poor souls will stay in my heart forever, including those who died, and those who hurt over the loss of loved ones. Evil in the world must stop.

The Twin Towers signified the strength of America's economy, and stood for the idea that one can succeed in America, the land of opportunity.

World Trade meant Peace so it was a Peace Center the globe showed it i was too small when i visited the trade center so i can't remember it but I have this footage other footage to tell me what it was like inside. Also thanks to the designer Minoru Yamasaki he had replicas of it built across the globe

People care for both. Obviously the loss of the people is a massive tragedy - but nonetheless those Towers were not just buildings, they stood for something far more than that. They were and are a landmark to this day, and a symbol of what was once America's unchallenged wealth and power. Now, it's just a horrible distant memory, but those poor souls will stay in my heart forever, including those who died, and those who hurt over the loss of loved ones. Evil in the world must stop.

It's a damn shame. They worked so hard to build those towers. It was one of America's greatest accomplishments and now it's gone. It's so sad. I wonder if the people who helped build the Twin Towers were alive when 9/11 occured. I'm sure at least some of them were and it must have struck them to see what they worked on for years get destroyed like this.They helped develop it and they gave birth to it. It's kind of like losing a child you watched grow.
