in my experience, i didn't even know he was teething! he got his bottome two teeth on xmas! he didnt act like anything bothered him. he did have diarrea still kinda does, which led to a rash, but other than that, he acts like he didnt even notice. i tried the teething stuff at diff times when i thought he was teething but he wasnt so idk if any of it really helps or not. oh and he was like 8 1/2 months when he got his teeth. he will be 9 months on the 12!
i always thought alister was teething all the time!! but than 1 week everything was so different to what i thought was teething, he had a bright red bum!! lots of dirt nappies and alittle runny! sorry tmi!, chewing on things/dribbling the usual,
than it all stopped (red bum, dirty nappies all the time) and 2 days later i noticed 1 tooth!!
do you have calpol? not sure if you do in the US. thats what we use it brill!
there are herbal teething powders which we also used which were good.
she drools like mad i gave up on bibs she moves them all the time and still ends up soaked she is so funny im going to post a vid hopefully next week ive watched everyones vids and never got round to posting mine haha any way have to say u have such a cute baby talk soon leah yeah my name too lol
my daughter is like a week younger than yours i was watchin when u came home after having her and i was waitin on my little one i love ur vids just a quick comment my daughter has no teeth but it seems to be the only thing thats takin a while she is already able to walk well when i hold her but she is stepping and all and she is so cleaver she says hiya mama dada nana tata and all in the correct contense and to the correct people maybe cos she lives with 5 adults
I wouldn't worry too much about her not having teeth yet. Every baby is different. My lil one is nearly 10 month old and has no teeth! He is teething real bad though, and I leave him with a bib on all day, he dribbles like crazy!
hey i just saw this vid somehow i missed it but i worked for a dentist and plz DO NOT USE ORAJEL its bad there are bad side effects to it and it also makes the gums harden so then it makes it worse for teeth to bud sooo plz try using the tablets and other methods! i hope i helped in someway
i read on a few boards parents with frightening experiences with orajel. mind you these people have used it before with no side effects. so the side effect is- stopped breathing, baby turning blue or grey. they are rare but very possible.
OMG, she's grown so much!!! I haven't been on YT for 3 weeks and all the babies have grown!!! haha.
Leah is also teething, hasn't cut her tooth yet, but she's got swollen gums. The best thing that worked was a froze rag. She'd chew on it and I guess since it's cold it helped numb her gums. It's a great natural way of soothing their pain =)
My daughter will be 5 months on the 10th and cut her first tooth today. It's early so I didnt expect it. I was worried because she has been doing the "I am in pain" cry on and off with no fever. Oh and she started sticking her tongue out like that 2 days before the tooth broke!
I have been giving her cold teethers and using oragel swabs. They are nice because they are premeasured and ready to go. You are lucky because you can use Motrin, I heard that works wonders. (6+months)
Yea Leah just randomly started sticking her tongue out like 2-3 weeks ago and now she does it ALL the time! I never thought about it but thats right around when she started teething......huh thats strange, they must have some sort of relation.
My daughter is almost 14 months and has only 2 teeth. BUT......she has 4+ coming in all at once right now!! I alternate the teething tablets and tylenol and before I put her to bed I rub a little orajel on her gums so she will sleep thru the night. Thanks Jeni.......I think I might pick up some Motrin tomorrow!! LOL The fussiness comes and goes but a cold washcloth or teething ring helps too.
My daughter is only 4 months, but already teething. She has days and nights where she just screaming in pain while jamming both fists in her mouth, and the only thing that helps is infant tylonel and comforting her to sleep. On her good teething days, her Sophie giraffe (that thing is great!) teether is her best bud. She'll gnaw on it for an hour. Poor Leah :( She's the cutest thing, love her hair!
It took some getting used to, but I just kept giving it to her, and now she loves it :) That could have to do with age though. She may have been too young for it when I first gave it to her. A big plus is that it squeaks, so it's more fun than just a teether.
Layla doesn't have any teeth yet either. I have good heard things about the teeth tablets, but obviously I dont' need them yet. Haha! She'll get fussy too, but I just give her a teething ring that was in teh fridge and she'll calm down. Her fussy spurts are short and maybe a couple of times a day. I think you're doing a good job! You'll find something that'll work for her -- especially when they really start coming in! That's what I am hoping I can do for Layla when she really starts teething!
i agree with the lady below when her teething pain gets extreme Motrin works great also it doesnt have the ingredient Dextromethorphan which i've heard TERRIBLE things about also theres wht u have Hylands, they work GREAT!!! ur gonna see relief right away hope leah doesn't have to ruff of a time hang in there mama good luck she is SOOOO cute!!!!!:))
every baby is different when it comes to teeth. my pedi said that when i got my first teeth that's when my daughter will as well. i got mine at 7 1/2 mths which is how old my daughter is. she just got her first bottom teeth. ora jel is not rec because of rare but possible side effects, also it only works for 15 mins. i'd try the homeopathic stuff. not much you can do though :( good luck!
My son god his first tooth at 5 months .. Ive heard great things about the teething tablets but havent tried them yet.. I did tho tylenol, baby orajel. It worked okay for me...I also got him a bunch of different teethers...I think Ive tried every kind of teether there is lol .. i like the ones that you put in the fridge for them
Give her those tablets when she is doing her "blood-curdling" screams!!! THEY WORK!! I have used them on both my grandsons as well as the Hyland's teething gel!!
Also--got a tip that the Infants Motrin is perfectly SAFE and is better to give than the infants Tylenol because it is "anti-inflamatory and lasts from 6 to 8 hours!
One grandson got his first 2 teeth at 4 and 1/2 months--the other --not until 6 months! Teething pain cries are shrill, ear-piercing non-stop hysteria!!
my son got his first tooth 7mths 1wk then a week later he had another one..so now he is almost 8mths old n he has 2 teeth..i use the teethin tablets and they work for him but he hasnt really been bad at teethin tho..
The only thing that has worked for us is Infant Motrin. Our pedi. says to give the infant motrin every 8 hrs as well as Tylenol. So just say infant motrin at 8am and then 4 hrs later tylenol dose and then 4 hrs later the next dose of Motrin. Infant motrin works better then the tylenol!
Sorry I have no tips for you but I think your daughter is so CUTE! And I must say your hair looks really good pulled back!

Motrin!!!!!!!!
We have tried it ALL (even the ones u have). everything sorta works... Those, not enough... The gels not long enough, etc.
I was against any and everything not natural but when your baby is in extreme pain... Well I got over it!
Tylenol is a close second but Motein last around 8 hrs v 4 and it's an anti inflamitory
