  • If I had seen this video about not dropping too far down the step on a stair, I would have avoided injury.

  • This helps me a lot in running(: Im serious

  • This is actually a pretty decent workout. Calvs are hard to exercise, but add some manuals to this and you got a killer workout.

  • I like her. Her exercises arent extreme. Its just right for me

  • ur hot

  • wow this really works, thanks

  • how many time should I do each set? and how often in a week?

  • how many time should I do each set? and how often in a week?

  • You actually want to dig in, below the step if that's all you have. Also, thats why you're ankles look like twigs. Im the running back for V football, and Im pretty sure i know what im saying.

  • wow, all your exercises are soo helpfull and simple that i can even do just sitting in my room. thank you soo much <3

  • The best calf exercise:

    Jumpstyle Dancing!!!

  • It causes tearing in those muscle groups?! that's what strength training is, tearing your muscles so they can be rebuilt stronger!

  • @SFO14 I think she meant tearing of the tendons haha

  • imma do the last one, seems to work well

  • i have skinny calves i need some muscles

  • I play soccer so I have big calf muscles. She is beautiful by the way.

Semper fi to any fellow marines out there!

  • she is gorgeous

  • Excellent!!!!

  • what a woman!!

  • @thekaidawg33 she is hot

  • Are you serious? Using a step is bad?!

  • I'm pretty sure she just meant to be careful and not over extend.

  • I want to increase my vertical jump. these exercises, should work, don't they?

  • yea ive heard to increase your verticle you shuold jump rope and strengthen your calves

  • yea

  • And apart from that, if you FULLY want to train calves, you don't just want to train the gastrocnemius, but also the soleus (large part of the calf), which you train by (for instance) doing sitting calf raises. And for the men: if you're training for calf mass, everytime I read you wanna do low reps and really heavy weight, not the 20-40rep sissy calf raises. That mostly just pumps your calves full with lactic acid and trains stamina.

  • There so many "recommended" methods of doing calf workouts, some recommend to rep till failure, some recommend like what you wrote, to do low reps with heavy weights and some recommend to train calves daily. Bottom line is that calves are really stubborn and they MUST suffer. I found that regular stretching as well as steep incline walks/jogs help with calves alongside the raises with weights.

  • I don't have massive calves myself, but I've always disagreed with working the calves with different toe positions. In my opinion it's a waste of time, because if you just train calves in the neutral/comfortable position, you'll be training both heads of the gastrocnemius, which is all you need. If you need more intensity, just use more weight, that's much better than using uncomfortable positions.

  • @SinisterSkip

i disagree, respectfully. your form is the upmost important part of the workout. even if it means using little weight.

  • @TragedyTheGreat

The most important thing of the workout is causing microtears in the muscles, if a bit of cheating helps you do the workout more intensely in the negative phase, that can help your gains, IF you know why you're cheating and how to do it.

Ontopic: Calves can handle a ton of weight. If you really want bigger ones, just bodyweight like in this video isn't forcing them to grow really, that's more of a cardio exercise.

  • i just watched a video on expert village that said it'll make no difference if your toes are turned out! i'm confused right now!

  • This is a great exercise. My calves were more defined before from walking everywhere - I've recently moved somewhere where public transport is excellent, so now I don't walk as much, and my current exercise routine isnt so good for defining calves. Definetely worthwhile!!!!!

  • by making your calf muscles stronger like that, will that make you run abit faster?

  • Dude....She Looks Like A Mom!!!!

  • that's all? you have to be kidding me?

  • damn my calves are killing me now! But it's definetely working!

    Thanks

  • i done this like two days ago and my calfs are killing me i cant even walk properly why is this???

  • Feel the burrnnn

  • no PAIN no GAIN! but remember, only the muscle you are working on should burn. so if your are doing bicep curls for example and your back starts to hurt, STOP immediately! talk to your doctor.

  • up and down baby up and down

  • Is it best to do them slowly or quickly? I always thought that doing exercises slowly gave better results.
