You know at first I thought I ended in the strange place of youtube again (was watching playlist for Cirque Du Soliel), but I'm so glad to stick around & watch. These men are amazing. FANTASTICO! Tango is beautiful no matter how you look at it. Passion and musicality are the main ingredients. If you don't have that, learn tennis or something else. And just to add to the other comments, tango was always a very masculine (truly macho) dance. However, men danced with each other (to kill time while "waiting" at the bordellos but also) to LEARN new steps and get better. That's how the danced evolved. @RoboSlater no, really that is the excepted history, it was started by cowboys in Argentina, so there WERE no women around, nothing gay about it. And yes, there is plenty of evidence. Now, I'm all for mainstreaming homosexuality, but origin of tango is not a strong stepping stone. :p

These two guys are not really gay. They are brothers and their artist name is "Hermanos Macana" (family name is De Fazio). These two very charming argentinians from Buenos Aires are very popular in Argentina and they also perform abroad. I wonder if they come this year to Lima Perù. Apart from this there are actually many excellent gay tango dancers in Argentina. Take a look at youtube searching "Milonga la Marshall"

Seluron3 is right; this is how it started (took a class and the teacher explained) In Argentina, men left their villages to go to Buenos Aires for work. There, they learned to tango and the men would teach each other, often having them dance together. Then, they would have social nights in the city and the man had to be aggressive to get a woman to dance with since the men greatley outnumbered them!
