Yet all six FPD officers took an active part in securing Kelly Thomas' death and only ONE is charged with second degree murder. Jay Cicinelli pounded the unarmed homeless man's head relentlessly with a deadly weapon long after Thomas lost consciousness but isn't charged with murder. Police aren't subject to the same laws citizens abide.

I'd just like to clarify to you and everyone that I do not think that Kelly Thomas deserved to die for any reason, whatsoever. I'm sad that he died. My complaint is that those before pictures do not represent how he looked before he died. It's just a matter of that it isn't factual that he looked like that before he died, and so since he is being portrayed as looking like he did in those pictures, it makes me upset, because it feels like a lie. I am a police officer still on patrol everynight in the city of Los Angeles. This type of behavior takes place way too often. This video makes me sick to my stomach. There is no justice within our legal system. These officers or thugs should get the death penalty. As for the additional four who responded, they should also be charged with being an accessory to murder. My condolence goes out to his family.

I remember seeing these cops harassing a guy outside my school once a few years back. It was obvious to me that he was mentally handicapped. My complaint is that those before pictures do not represent how he looked before he died. One day I fought my brother as we always did. A neighbors guest called cops. Before I made bail I learned Judges aren't the 100% honorable jurors that I thought. And besides lying, I saw cops put a mentally "challenged" man into general population. He was abused by inmates & mistreated by police as a few of us complained that he was in danger & unfit. Always had high regard for police, but that day I lost a lot respect for them. Replaced w/ fear. Some of us are REALLY making it bad for others.

I am a police officer still on patrol everynight in the city of Los Angeles. This type of behavior takes place way too often. This video makes me sick to my stomach. There is no justice within our legal system. These officers or thugs should get the death penalty. As for the additional four who responded, they should also be charged with being an accessory to murder. My condolence goes out to his family.

Things like this make the whole police department look bad and it makes things harder on everyone, especially the decent guys in the department trying to do a job that is often more than a little difficult.
