Let's be frank; there is not a consistent moral compass in America-except that we think we are the greatest ever, the best, and what we say and do goes--why? because might makes right.
Do we value pets more than the unborn? No. But we do not value the unborn enough; we sure as hell do not value animals except as a commodity. We ask God to always bless America, not matter how many innocent people we slaughter or have slaughtered in wars.
There should be outrage with killing on every level.
I suppose people feel as though their hands are tied when it comes to defending the unborn. It seems as though aside from holding pregnant females captive for the duration of her pregnancy that there is not much that one can do to assure the pregnancy is brought to term. If a person is lost there is no telling what they will do to living creatures - human and non-human.
