  • They don't diserve a beautiful fish if they have no respect for it

  • everyone acts like youve never caught a fish to take it home and eat. all of you have prolly done this to or kill the fish in some other way so dont act so innocent

  • That's the difference between fly fishermen and bait fishermen. No respect for the fish they catch. no intelligence. Terrible.

  • Why kill the biggest fish you can catch? Kenai river chinook salmon that size will be non existent in 10 years due to people whacking and stacking the biggest fish. I'm not saying it isn't a big fish, its just the gene pool has been cleansed so hard for so long before you know it a 30# salmon will be called a "horse"

  • nice salmon man, feel free to check out some of the king salmon we get in australia!!

  • O_O nice fish

  • haters going to hate alaska they hit th fish to kill it

  • This is how the slightly retarded spend their free time: Not trying to improve civilization in general... no... it's catching a stupid fish and talking about it endlessly afterwards.

  • Why the fuck!!! did you beat em why?

And the term is pig not a horse who the fuck says horse. You should've caught and release dumb fucks

  • @Acroelacity thats how you kill a salmon you plan on eating the first shot took the fish out the rest where to make sure he didnt wake back up

  • That's why i hate americans!

  • @k9cannon

    To kill it

  • Y THEY BANG THE FISH IN HEAD???

  • I usually keep the salmon that I catch, but that fish is wild, huge, and healthy. These are three good reasons why that fish should be released back into the river to pass on its genes to the next generation of fish. Over the years I've realized that many hunters and especially fishermen will take and take from the wild, but never think to give anything back. It really doesn't matter if the salmon might break a record. They should have released that fish and kept a few smaller, hatchery fish.

  • I can't seem to find a cd with the sound of screeching reels, any ideas? Yeah...get your ass where the fish are. What a hog

  • That's not fishing thats trolling, the lazy fat ass way of fishing. No skill required.

  • They club the fish to kill it instantly so it doesn't suffer and die a slow death from suffocation. Also, you don't want a 95 pd fish flopping around on a boat.

  • They kill it by hitting it in the head.

  • @PhishyGutz no they dont it just stuns them so they can pick it up and put it away

  • why are you hitting it in the head?! im new to all this that's y im asking...

  • That fish got Rodney Kinged

  • he's not a horse, he's a fish!

  • Stop looking at it and eat it!

  • some serious chinook! congrats..wish you had some footage of the giant filleting and cooking too!

  • @xquisitaz ur dumb fish has no feeling or anything, they lay eggs then die, besides there gonna eat it any way

  • :o

  • @IzzyLL better knocked out unconscious the first hit then the fish suffocating to death.. the other hits were to kill it :o

  • nice fish

  • What river were you on and what kind of bait/lure did you use?

  • Kings breed well before their tenth year. Once they do they promptly die.

  • Nice shark :)

  • at the end there like omg a 96 pound salmon! when it says when he zooms up on it 96 kilos and 45 pounds haha

  • yea i live in alaska they live in streams or rivers for 2 years then move to the ocean for about 3-5 years then come back up the rive to spawn.

  • I don't know who did the estimating but salmon do not live that long, about 8-9 years tops. The Kenai River does have the best genetics for kings; I caught a 63 lb one there myself.

  • I don't know who did the estimating but salmon do not live that long, about 8-9 years tops. The Kenai River does have the best genetics for kings; I caught a 63 lb one there myself.

  • @yokotaco619 what the fuck does it matter

  • looks moore like a fish to me.... no?

  • Why did they club it? in the head lmao.

  • weeeee! neeeeeeeed! aaaaaa!bigggggger! booooooooat! whaaatchaaaaaaaa saaay!?

  • i hope semeone treet you like this

  • @11zajec11 have ya ever gone fishing you fuckin tool?

  • Beautiful fish. What did you use for bait ?

  • Nice fish but the lack of respect for it shown by the fishermen shows they did not deserve to catch such an awesome salmon. I kill fish occasionally but I never call it a fucker for providing me and my family with life.

  • omfg. its a big fish

  • ILL EATT THAT SAMON LIK NIMMM NIMMMM

    NYMM NYMM!

  • Superb......

  • I look at it this way nothing lives forever and so this was its time to go and if it fed some tummies with some good omega 3's and some essential proteins so be it. Really I believe Salmon is one of the most beneficial fish humans can consume and we are technically farm raising salmon all over so it is not like we are short on them. Hope you used some fresh dill and lemon not the dried shit or juice in the bottle junk.. As well made some jerky or smoked some.

  • THAT SUCKER WAS HUGE HOW DID IT TASTE?

  • suck my balls!!!

  • that pig is 6 years at most

  • i'd stuff it and keep it as a trophy lol

  • This was a Kenai River King Salmon, about 90 + lbs and most likely a 7 year fish; 2 fresh and 5 salt. This fish is very special and should be treated that way. JoeRay at Kenai River, AK

  • wow its so funny to think of all these greenies and wanna be conservationists bashing this video when you know most all of them buy their fish and meat at the supermarket.

  • Folks heres what i do with the salmon about to spawn i catch them and slide my finger down her belly so she spits her eggs on land then i sit there and watch her die stab it up some then throw the corpse in the water

  • @matlheu

i hope your joking, fish are just as important as humans

  • kill it is better.. than it die slowly.. if you dont like it.. dont eat it.. turn to vegetarian.. all meat come from living thing..

  • Thats good eating right there.

  • what bait/lure did u use

  • Looks kinda dark and spawned out

  • You're gonna need a bigger boat!!

  • although it is a site to see..people REALLY NEED TO STFU ABOUT THEM KILLING IT...its a damn fish... damn..sensitive ass folks

  • haha wacking in the head is a quick kill.... i would rather kill now rather than let it suffer in the water if he is going to keep the fish... and yes people keep fish ha

  • Im all for the Grease Release Nice fish !!!!

  • unacceptable the way u killed.

  • @sirippo Totally unacceptable. They should have just curb stomped his ass.

  • @sirippo any other suggestions..?

  • lol a 75 yr old kins salmon..i think not ..not everyone is stupid lol

  • Not sure, but I think it was a 7 year fish and maybe someone just made a mental typo.

  • big ass fish

  • u can make boots out of those?

  • catching big fish to overcompensate for smaller things

  • Memories of Michigan in the 70's - SHOOT That FISH - BANG , the 9 year old was the one with the gun because he wasn't hammered ! :)~

    No wasn't me - but a neighbor kid . . . Lots a fun ,

Ya we get pretty violent with em too if they are in a boat or

on a shoulder to shoulder stream

Great Catch - fish & video

    OH YEAH FILET & RELEASE M.F. !!! :) haha

  • Wow nice fish!

  • good kill thats bad ass salmon

  • U had my respect until u smashed his head with a stick...

  • @andreasvedeler You would rather have it suffocate on board?

  • 75 years is BS. Chinook live for 1-8 years in salt water, spawn and die.

  • That's one ugly fish! I wouldn't keep anything that dark.....

  • Fucking hippie piece of shit you eat salmon but don't have the balls to kill one. These fish is only at most 5 years old.

  • 75yrs? is that right??...

  • 75 years old? Salmon live to be about 6 years. Thats it. thats all they get before they get the urge to fornicate and thats what kills them. same goes for men.

  • @walterramjet lol 6 year old fornicating men

  • help me out here..i thought salmon dies after mating every season..or is it just fpr s certain type..?

  • its not a horse it's a salmon;)

  • 75 years old, not! its not a 94 pound salmon! 54 inches long, tops 60lbs, you guys are full of shit!

  • @mrfish40 at 54 inches it would be closer to 75lbs, 80 tops. The world record 97lb salmon was 61" inches.

  • Don't listen to these people they have no idea what their talking about. It's a beautiful fish congrats.

  • how come these fuckers catch a huge salmon like this ?? it's not fair

  • That was a nice fish, and if it was to be kept for the table it needed to be killed,

But you need to show some respect, I see a lot of that where people have too much of something they tend to take it for granted.

I am completely put out with the language, These guys are not sportsmen..

  • Nice fish, but you should have let it go so it could spawn and keep the gene pool strong!

  • Yeah calling it a fucker wasn't cool.

I can believe they call that iron club/bar thing a "Priest" in the UK. All i can say is i hope bellies where fed with this fish and grace said on many occasions. Def not a fucker though. :)

    Peace

  • lol 75 years old? a spring RARLEY lives past the age of 8, but most return at the age 4-5. however if that fish was 90+ pounds, it would have pushed 100 in the ocean... thats an ugly spawner.

  • thats catch these bsaterd put hooks throught their lips get em in a net call them fcukers and then kill them

  • keeping a fish is fine.. but why not release fish this massive so they can pass on their obviously ridiculously awesome genes, as well as get some serious respect for having the balls enough to let one of The biggest fish caught in the state.. go

these guys are fucking morons.. not because they kept a fish, just their general attitude towards such a rare freakin beast.

  • @zimflo1

The regulations for the Kenai river address your concerns about genetics.

"Only king salmon less than 46 inches in length or greater than 55 inches may be retained from January 1 through June 30."

So this fish was retained illegally.

  • thats at kenai riverbend where i stay every year

  • WTF WHY DID U KILL IT U EVIL PERSON THUMBS UP THAT THESE GUYS ARE DICKS

  • you cant even eat the thing and your going to kill it

  • @Saints707 What the hell do you mean we can't eat it?! Hell yes, you can eat it. And it's very good.

  • In Alaska you would be a touron to release a king.

  • @FireHeart154 you have to let them go? hmmm okay.you obviously don't know anything about fishing.

  • well first of all,its not a damn 75 year king. They hardly live to be 6 years old. Second, you don't need to take turns smacking the fish, its dead after 2.And third, for everyone who hates fishing fuck you its a way of life if you live in Alaska like me.

  • absolutely brutal...total morons...boots? that should be illegal...probably is...suppose to release those fish in the rivers...could have taken a measurement and a picture and still got in the paper and known how big it was!...you should practice that! people may actually appreciate you more...instead of just knowing your a bunch of idiots!

  • I want to take that bat and beat all your heads in. Hit the fish once, not 5 goddamn times... fuckers.

  • such a shame retards like u guys had to catch such a beautiful fish. fish deserve respect but i guess u guys are just too retarded to get that

  • 75 year old salmon? That's almost as retarded as calling a chinook a king. Fucking yanks

  • @griffenb umm there the same.unless your being sarcastic.

  • nice fish ihope thatis a record

  • nice fish

  • nice fish

  • nice fish

  • nicefish

  • ahh yes lets keep pillaging the waters for all they are worth, who cares there are plenty of fish up there, catch em all!!!!!

  • that fish aint 75 years old. kings typically live 4 to 5 years an rarely up to around 8 or 9. an it ain't 90 pounds, more like 50 to 70, quit talkin out ur brown eye hank, it's an impressive enuff fish without turning it into a bs story

  • You think the fish is a fucker?? take a look at yourself you cunt.

  • So I didn't know you could tell how much a fish weighs by measuring its length? Hmmmm. Okay????

  • the biggest fish.

  • what pound test where you using and what bait?

  • DAM thats the catch of the day

  • Jackass!!!!!, No way the fish was any older than 6 or 7 max. Learn some marine biology before you fish you inbred fucks.

  • I will agree with hitting the fish if he moves that boat tips but calling it a fucker was very un called for. Nice fish but show some respect.

  • FU CK U ASSHOLE I WISH U BURN IN HELL< HOW ABOUT I WAK U IN THE HEAD WITH A STICK FOR NO REASON< AND CALLED U A MOTHER FUCKER STUPID RE TARD! FUCK UR WHOLE FAMILY< I WISH U ALL DIE!

  • @AIienWorkShop that is not nice that is a nice fish

  • 2:09. I was fine up to there assholes. You dont call that type of fish a fucker. That thing needs respect and it is not 75 years old. Thumbs up if u agree.

  • @308hayden well thats americans for ya fuck arrogant

  • @ThatGeordieGAMER im canadian bud.

  • @308hayden Exactly the first hits from the first guy was understandable but why go apeshit on that fish and call hime names. No respect you hicks

  • Comment removed

  • @308hayden I agree Jesus thats the problem nowadays there is no respect for nature , I would love to hit that Guy on the head. I have hunted and fished all my life and have learnt to love and respect nature, this type of thing is so typical of people now and thats why we have nothing left

  • seems like they had a great time!

  • Catch and release? No respect for the fish? Ever eat a hamburger? Did you kill it yourself?

Up here, we catch these fish and bonking them on the head is how you kill them so they DON'T suffocate. AND THEN WE EAT THEM, LIKE YOU EAT HAMBURGERS. Except they're healthy and don't make you a fat ass who thinks king salmon can live 75 years. Once they come up the river, they spawn, then the die.

  • @scotchameson i AGREE 100% these guys gotta learn to catch and release

  • @m0nch1ng1

In AK, it's fillet and release. It has the most productive salmon fisheries in the world. In most rivers, there is an excess amount of salmon that return to spawn beyond what the river can support. In other words, there's a finite amount of gravel beds for spawning and hatching the eggs, as well as food for the fry and parr to eat.

So a given river can sustain a maximum of say, 1M fish to spawn, but 2M return, then you have an excess of 1M fish that SHOULD be caught for human use.

  • @scotchameson male salmon dont spawn

  • @scotchameson

u obviously arent that smart, salmon can come up the river and make it back to sea again several times, that is how you get really big salmon, if the fish is over about 8lb then it has swam up river before and made it back out to sea. that is what u call a kelt. im pretty sure the fish would rather be killed quicker, if you leave your fish to sufficate then you have no respect for them

  • @jamiekfc10

Steelhead trout can spawn multiple times, but King (Chinook), Reds (Sockeye), Silvers (Coho), pink, and chum can only spawn once.

ATLANTIC salmon can spawn multiple times, but NONE of the pacific salmon species does.

  • no respect for the fish i hope your boat sinks

  • thats a big fricken fish

  • Show some respect for the fish assholes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Salmon do NOT live to be 75 years old. Plus, do you reeaaallly think these trophy fishers had the thing's DNA tested? Really? I was born and raised in the red salmon capital of the world... y'all need to stop being so gullible! AND, as for the folks complaining about them giving the fish a quick, clean, relatively painless death; if you were doomed to die, would you rather be shot in the head, or slowly suffocated? It probably would've died anyways had they released it, weakened as it was.

  • @SSgtMacFly agreed

  • Nice fish, but someone is a comedian because salmon, hahaha, don't live to be, hahaha, 75 years old, hahaha. But I guess now those "DNA MARKERS" are even harder to find since fish and game aren't making slot size limits. I think 94 pound fish are a little harder to lift than that, might want to get a new scale.

  • @mangoman309 Just to let you know before you make an ass of yourself, atlantic salmon are the only salmon that can spawn many times. All species of pacific salmon die after they spawn.

  • he owning

  • what river is thiz

  • fish was already tired, that shit w/hitting it on the head, was uneccesary.... and complete!bullshit!!!! very much unsportsman-like....

  • The record King rod/reel salmon is 102 lbs from british columbia and Kings live 2-4 years on average with some males living up to 8 years. Where you heard that fish is 75 years old is probably the same guy who taught you how to land a fish.

  • up here in new hampshire(us) i cam in the top 10 with a 27 inch bass 12 pounds that sucker weighed!!

  • i thought the kings were like a 6 year fish 75 years old??? woah are you sure?

  • Why would you keep a fish that old with flabby skin like that its disgusting same with halibut

  • why the hell would you hit it on the head like that? you guys are poor excuses for fishermen

  • @tallone2012 uhhhh, you obviously know nothing about fishing so the best thing for you to do is not talk...

  • @1smax16 why wouldnt you guys just release it? it would be better off to die in its natural habitat then to be fuckin hit on the head

  • @tallone2012 its much funner to beat its head in, but seriously it so it doesn't suffocate out of the water......

  • @tallone2012 you beat a salmon because it will 1. make a mess of the boat thrashing around and 2. believe it or not, it is the more humane thing to do, either beat it to kill it or leave it alive to slowly dry out and die of lack of oxygen. Also, a salmon is supposed to have its gills slit, to allow the fish to bleed out for a better taste. this is also done with tunas, because the bacteria inside the fish will proliferate faster with hot blood in the veins. just to let you know.

  • @faraldi do you realize that fish are are not mammals and are cold blooded? the blood just tastes bad

  • @frewcc I know fish are not mammals. Did you know that moving muscles create heat and many active cold water fish run the blood from their heart, to their muscles where the blood warms, and back up a main vein in the center of their body in order to keep their muscles above the ambient water temperature, allowing them to be energetic in cold temps? I bet you didn't. People, if you don't know what you are talking about, shut the f up.

  • @faraldi did you know that salmon don't, and the difference in temperature is no more than 10 degrees even for fish like tuna?

  • @frewcc You are right, salmon don't do that. However, when a fish is in a fight, it will warm up and warm meat is a spoiler. Good way to get that heat out, bleed it out. It happens faster in tunas because they are technically not cold blooded. I don't know the magnitude of the temperature differential in a tuna or a hard fighting salmon, which, if you have ever caught one, you would know, they fight hard. What I do know is that heat degrades meat. Keep them fresh by bleeding and ice.

  • man thats a big fish but i would let it go after a photo

  • for the guy that posted this video i would have to say get your facts right. no salmon has ever lived 75 years. they have recorded one that lived for 14 years. that fish was pretty red too and that means it was ready to spawn and would have died later. and to the guy that say have respect for the fish your a ass cause to go out and catch a fish is much more respectable then buying one in the store!! they use big ass nets to get those ones and they rape the sea!!

  • for the guy that posted this video i would have to say get your facts right. no salmon has ever lived 75 years. they have recorded one that lived for 14 years. that fish was pretty red too and that means it was ready to spawn and would have died later. and to the guy that say have respect for the fish your a ass cause to go out and catch a fish is much more respectable then buying one in the store!! they use big ass nets to get those ones and they rape the sea!! was a nice fish though

  • dude y the hell did u kill that it lives longer than some people let it go like fk man

  • the longest a chinook or "king" salmon will live is 8 years

  • That fish is Beast Status. Would have let it go off to spread it's good genes though.

  • 75 years old i woulda let it go since you know not many like that?

  • For all of the tree hugging hippies out there that know jack about the salmon's lifestyle, when they go up the rivers to spawn, lose their silver color and gain the hook looking mouth, they are just about dead. They use up everything they have left to make it upstream, drop a load or deposit some eggs, then they die. Good they can get some food out of it. Smoke it and it will taste the same.

  • @faraldi yes and do you know how many eggs this salmon would have laid?? and you need good genes like tose in that salmon to be carried on. BTW salmon can return to sea after spawning and return to the river again the next year or the year after
