Well.. I'm not NXT pro, but i can say, it can copy almost anything, but the results will be ''pixelized'', only reason because NXT doesn't have a good quality screen.

My only advanced suggestion would be to go beyond the basic source code and add a fail-safe for extended amount of blank lines.

Strange my very well working Lego Grayscale Scanner was criticized for no good reason then this scanner turns up in a book. Oh well I guess that might answer a few questions I've had on my mind.
