no folder is suppose to pop up. A folder gets created in the directory the exe is in. You just move that folder into your garrysmod addons folder and there you go, it should work.

if the exe file is on your desktop, it should work as it worked for me.

Note, it doesnt always create a folder on the desktop, it creates the folder in the directory the exe is!

So if you place your exe in C:\, the addon is created in C:\ and not on the desktop

it should work on XP and Windows 7 too.

No folder is suppose to pop up.

It just creates a folder in the directory of the exe file.

The addon isn't created on your desktop, it is beeing created at the directory you have put the exe (the executeable you downloaded) to.

so if the exe is at C.\, the addon will be at C:\ aswell

@WatermelonMovies Put the exe file on the desktop. Now just fill out everything as you would normally. Now make sure the Printname is just containing letters, no dots or smileys.

Just Letters.

I'm not sure if numbers work too...but I wouldn't risk it.

After you generate the addon, you just move it inside your garrys mod Addons folder and restart Garry's Mod.

Should work then.

usually where the exe file is. Make sure you extract it out of the zip before running. Just place it on your desktop, run it and it will be placed on the desktop. Or run it at C:\ and it will be placed at C:\

Try out not giving the Printname any free space.

Just give it a name like SMG or RocketLauncher

Note: you have to restart Garry's Mod for it to load the addon. Reloading the map isn't enough!
