  • thank god this was not yet another bad cover version. it should be punished by death uploading them.

  • Gosh - I saw him & Rolling Thunder Revue in Florida just after this concert. There weren't a zillion cameras and video devices back then so a lot of that legendary tour is gone forever (except in some of our memories). Thank you for the upload!!! It is incredible.

    ♥♥♥

  • And the last verse is a plea to God to never let her back in. Wow.

  • His worst is better than anyone's best!!!!~E

  • superb...

  • absolutely brilliant. thank you for this!

  • Dude! Thank you so much for posting this. Awesome. Love the images all from that time period and little known facts. Amazing version of the song. Great job all around. Thank you!

  • This is unreal!!!!!!!!!!! I did not think my all time favourite Dylan tune could again be better. The words were perfect on BooTracks, and I love HARD RAIN, the venom, but I have never heard this! Thank you so much!!! that has to be some of Dylan's angriest lines from the most painful song ever, from the most painful album ever.

  • This is interesting but it doesn't compare to the Blood on the Tracks version which is one of his greatest vocal performances ever recorded.

  • This is one of the many live performances of Bob that is priceless. Thanks for the info on the video - love it.

  • Right now this is my favorie Dylan song. Just fantastic

  • Ahaha. "My head can't toler... understand no more what my heart don't tolerate." Love it.

    typo sorry..

  • Oh superb-not sure about venom, sounds as they he's having fun with this one..He is still larger than life.

  • Those days, when Dylan was really larger than life. Fantastic.

  • How lucky we are some random guy in the audience caught this

  • @rn75188 yes! (and how regretful many artists must be that they tried so hard to keep us from doing it at the time.)

  • You can tell Dylan is really hurting here for his estranged wife Sara. Almost makes you want to cry!

    Wonderful rare post....THANKS!

  • YIKES! fabulous. I love this- you did a great job.

Somewhere I read a criticism of the "watch it from the rear" line as being misogynist, blah blah blah... but it seems clear to me that he is warning the person he is addressing to watch himself, to watch out for the narrator who doesn't have much left to lose and might do something rash.
